It's because they want to continue being codependent enablers in this mass delusion that, somehow, we can get our national finances in order without harming a single precious hair on the head of Sosh Security and Medicare.

So we get dissembling salesman BS about a balanced approach that will come to fruition in the comfortably distant future. It's just like the alcoholic who's really -- seriously! -- going to quit....tomorrow.

It's like those ads to lose all the weight you want AND eat anything you want too!  while the camera pans across chocolate cake and donuts.
