I never cared for either Andy Griffith or Gomer Pyle, so not watching is not a big deal, I wasn't anyway.
But this story does indicate one thing, previous generations kept this sort of thing to themselves and only told those family and friends they wanted to tell, that at least showed a measure of decency so lacking in latter generations of
that community who are more militant and will not accept anything less than government-forced acceptance of all deviant behavior.
So thanks for not throwing it in our face and shoving it down our throats Jim.
