The only part I disagree with is the  concession that these increased deaths and attacks in gun-free zones are "unintended consequences" of gun regulation. I think the evidence is so clear and overwhelming that it can no longer be accepted that the people who pass them do not intend for innocent people to die because of them.

Yes, they relish the carnage, kind of hard to employ sensasionalist exploitation without victims, and no victims means no advancement of statist desires.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
