And the Winner for Narcissist of the day is...
« on: February 01, 2013, 09:45:37 AM »
And the Winner for Narcissist of the day is...  Sharon Pian Chan of the Seattle Times

A study in liberal self-rationalization... for me this is the money line.

Quote
On our last vacation, my husband and I mulled over this question: “On your deathbed, what will you regret not doing?” We listed our answers at dinner on the last night. Neither of us mentioned children. We have decided we have other things to give to the world. We won’t be having kids. We choose to be childless in Seattle.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because I am fine with caring for my garden and dying alone, unwanted, and forgotten in some govt bed with a Chart that says "Julia"!   No, that would never happen, because I am good enough and gosh darnit people like me.  How could anyone forget someone so wonderful as me!?!

Quote
We are not alone here. According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau estimates, children make up 15.3 percent of Seattle’s population. We are the second-most childless U.S. city behind San Francisco, which stands at 13.4 percent.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because everyone who is anyone is doing it!  The less selfish idiot liberals the better!

Quote
Observers say our childlessness shapes public attitudes toward education and quality-of-life issues, such as parks and playgrounds. I’ll be voting yes for Seattle’s $1.2 billion school levy measures on the Feb. 12 special-election ballot anyway.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because  I will still vote money out of the pockets of others to educate indoctrinate them.

Quote
I’m lucky. I live in a time and place where I have the freedom not to have kids. But that doesn’t mean society has fully accepted me. Feminism empowered women to talk about motherhood as a pursuit that deserves as much attention as men’s work. In the past 20 years, women have bravely spoken about struggles to conceive, which helped educate a generation about fertility. But society rarely hears from women who decide not to have kids.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because it proves I am an independent  rebel fighting bravely for those women  who don't have a voice! says the childish selfish woman from her Soapbox at the times.

Quote
Will I regret it? Probably sometimes. Just like parents sometimes regret their choice.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because everyone makes decisions they regret!

(My only regret is that my children will have to grow up in the socialist hell selfish idiots like this Bitch are creating. But then, liberals aren't really capable of loving others-- just themselves, which is why they can kill their own children while still in the womb.)

Quote
Will I regret not having children to care for me when I’m old and infirm? Kids or no kids, everyone should be saving for retirement. I don’t believe in treating children like indentured social security, and, let’s be honest, many people in nursing homes have children.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because indenturing them with my future  care is wrong! But putting them in debt to support worthwhile social goals, including SOCIAL SECURITY, OBAMACARE AND MEDICAID is fine!! Because they aren't my kids!  All of the benefits of being cared for in old age with none of the work of rearing the generation who will pay for it! Look how noble I am for not wanting to do it to MY nonexistent kids!

Quote
Would I have to sacrifice my career goals if we had a child? Probably. I’ve gone from believing I can do it all to believing that life is short. Saying no to some things allows me to say yes to others. My husband could be the primary caregiver while I charge after my goals, but then he would have to say no to some of his goals.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because then both my husband and I can follow our bliss! Who gives a crap what bliss our children might have found.. its not like I would have enjoyed encouraging them and helping them along that path...

Quote
Am I being selfish if I don't have children? I’m selfish for not committing to my hypothetical child’s well-being. But I will have a lot more attention and money to shower on real-life nieces, nephews, mentees and philanthropic causes.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because then I will pay attention to other people's kids and charities! (yeah, yeah, thats the ticket!)  I see my nieces and nephews , twice a year at Thanksgiving and "Winter Holidays" - and and and,  I give to charity and Big Sisters. I have lots of time for those things after working 60 hour weeks and my fabulous childless vacations!

Quote
Also, not having a child is the most important thing I could do to reduce my carbon footprint, according to a 2009 study by Oregon State University statisticians.

Its okay if I don't have a child, because then I am saving the planet Look at me and my moral exhibitionism. See you parents don't care about the planet. If you did you would let the species go extinct!

Quote
I broke the news to my grandmother, mother of six, while visiting her in Hong Kong. “That’s fine,” she said in Cantonese, “if you want to be lazy.”

Its okay if I don't have a child, because my Chinese Grandmother gave me permission to be lazy!   and selfish, and narcissistic, and self-indulgent...

Quote
I told my parents in California over Christmas. “Don’t do it if you don’t want to,” my mom said without pause. “You won’t like it.”

Its okay if I don't have a child, because my Mother gave me permission! because she raised me and knows that I am lazy, selfish,  narcissistic, and self-indulgent...and she knows it would be best that people like that don't have children..

Quote
It’s OK that I didn’t dream of growing up and having a baby. My husband and I can be a family without a kid. The ability to bear a child may be what defines me as female, but I’m still a woman without one.
A condescending, short-sighted, liberal woman trying to convince herself that really, her very, very important job and selfish desires are WAAAYY more important than any child, or the future of the human  race. What matters most is ME, NOW.

I love it when you dissect them Weisshaupt.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

It was a great choice for the two liberals who choose not to " breed ".........because the world does not need another bleeding heart, amoral, gun hating, baby killing, death penalty loathing, socialistic, godless, illegal embracing, occupy loving, ponzi scheming, union thugging, emotion driven......progressive.

In all their imagined intellectual superiority, they missed the memo that Nature has no regard for their lofty motivations. Whoever pumps out the most offspring owns the future. That's why the Islamists and other turd worlders are so emboldened. It doesn't matter that we have built civilizations light years ahead of theirs, because they know we are simply going to disappear and the world will be theirs.

I am childless, but not because of some intellectual or moral vanity. Mainly it's because I'm about as lovable as a rattlesnake.

The part that made me laugh is where she boasts about Seattle being second only to San Francisco in the number of childless adults.  Gee, I wonder why San Francisco took top honors?  LOL

What's sad is watching how quickly some go native, after leaving (insert nation of over achieving people here,) and become fully Americanized.

Never, not once in ten years, and I can't imagine ever, even though I can imagine some terrible things my future may hold, have I ever regretted being a parent. The grass has never been greener anywhere else (well, in our case it's more like the crabgrass nd weeds) than under our feet.
Great takedown W.
And too true G...demographics is destiny, though I forget who I'm quoting. So on behalf of my kids who will likely end p a detested minority I their own country, bit just because of race, but ideology, f**k this selfish libiot.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. But Libtards don't worry about tomorrow - they have no stake in the future. Eat, rink and be Merry for tomorrow we die.

Yep.

As a father of 3 boys, I can honestly say I can't picture my life without my children. And pray I never do.
