Dick Morris Dropped by Fox News

Long time contributor Dick Morris will no longer be a talking head on Fox News Channel. “His contract is up and we will not be renewing it, ” a spokesperson for the news network confirmed today. A perpetual presence during last year’s Presidential election, Morris has not been seen on FNC since November 12. During the battle between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney, the former Clinton advisor had been strongly predicting a big loss for the incumbent. Morris didn’t waste much time moving on from FNC. Earlier today, he announced via Twitter that he would be making an appearance on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight on Wednesday. That will be the first time the conservative has appeared on CNN since 2002. Morris isn’t the only big name contributor departure from the top rated news network. FNC recently parted ways with former GOP VP candidate Sarah Palin after three years. On the other hand, Fox News also re-signed Karl Rove to a multiyear contract and added liberal former Congressman Dennis Kucinich as a contributor.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

If I cared anything about ______ News, I'd care.  I don't.  They can all go straight to hell.

Sideshow attractions at the Fox carnival.

Aside: Heard Kristol do a take down of the TPOS and his PAC as being responsible for losses and he should stay out of primaries and let the people decide their candidates.
Momentary lapse of sanity, I guess.

Getting rid of Sarah Palin and re-signing the TPOS says pretty much everything about the state of things at Fox News.

I like Dick Morris, in spite of his past. I don't know if he's fully made amends, but him, Caddell, and Schoenberg buck the party line and convey facts even when it actually supports the conservative angle.
And yeah, fox is done in my mind. Ever since the Saudis bought in.

It was the election.  Morris misled people by hyping Romney as the probable winner.  The reason why doesn't much matter, although he did say he honestly thought R would prevail and he wanted to project confidence that people sorely needed.

For those who were paying close attention, they bought it.  My lawn maintenance man was one and he was so thoroughly dispirited after the election, he said to me "I never want to hear another word from Dick Morris and Karl Rove".

...one more thing he didn't see coming.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

No doubt. The whole reason they had him on in the first place was his supposed ability to prognosticate. His record in that regard had to be much worse than the average roll of the dice. He was wrong ALL the time. About EVERYTHING.

When your entire usefulness to the network is boiled down to being a turncoat against the Democrats, you've got nothing. When you look like an overfed rat-man who's ready to have a coronary on live TV at any given moment, then you've REALLY got nothing. Add being perpetually wrong about everything, and I don't know why anyone would ever hire this guy to talk about politics again.

As long as they stick with that failed corporate mission statement of Fair & Balanced they will continue to suck...how stupid dp you have to be to realize a) Dem's and anybody left of center don't give a damn what you have to say anyway and b) there is nothing to lose by flipping the tables on the left an being 100% biased the other direction?

The problem with Fox is the same problem the GOP has!  They can choke on their so-called "moderates" and die out like the GOP!
