MIAMI (Reuters) - A Florida judge has approved the adoption of a 22-month-old baby girl that will list three people as parents on her birth certificate -- a married lesbian couple and a gay man.

The decision ends a two-year paternity fight between the couple and a friend of the women who donated his sperm to father the child but later sought a larger role in the girl's life.

The ruling means the child's birth certificate will include a biological father and both women as parents in an unusual arrangement approved recently by a Miami-Dade Circuit Court judge.

The women, Maria Italiano, 43, and Cher Filippazzo, 38, had made several unsuccessful attempts to become parents using fertility clinics.

They then turned to Italiano's hair dresser, Massimiliano Gerina, and asked if he would provide his sperm for artificial insemination.

As for the baby girl, selfishly forced into this unnatural arrangement, well I guess the answer from both the State of Florida and the 2+1 gene-swappers is a big "F**k You". Couldn't these two have just stuck with the long established lesbian tradition of being obsessive dog owners?

Not to detract from the seriousness of the thread topic, but that evokes a running joke between my wife and I. Whenever we go camping or hiking and see two females hiking with a dog, we exchange knowing glances that we both understand to mean, "lesbians". Then when we're out of earshot, one will play devil's advocate and note something like, "well, they could be sisters", or, "nope, I think it's mother/daughter", which opens the door for the other of us to enumerate the reasons why they are indeed lesbians... "Did you not see the khaki camping shorts/work-boots/plaid flannel shirt/hairy legs/little mustache...?"

To Mrs. IDP and I, two women walking with a dog (especially a larger dog) are lesbians until proven otherwise.

Between this and the other strange ways children are brought into the world now, I wonder how on earth future generations will know whether they are marrying their own relatives.  How many times has this hairdresser assisted lesbian couples in achieving parenthood?  What if one is a boy and he grows up and marries this child?  Creepy.

Oh yeah, they've already been working on that one. And why should marriage only be between two people?  Why not 3?  Or 5?  No, I don't mean polygamy (but of course we should recognize that too, natch) I mean a "marriage" of 3+ people.
