Another SITYS I harp on often...cooked government data - confirmed by Phili Fed - payrolls overstated 800,000 thru Dec'23!!!

We all know people are working more than one job to make ends meet, most new jobs being part-time...and any increase in FT almost always led by fricken government jobs...now we even have proof of replacement - foreigners replacing indigenous workers...

All government data is games...ALWAYS.

And adding a $1T in debt every 100 days is not going to make anything in this fundamentally poor economy better, it will however make it a lot worse.

The Fed is boxed in, part self-inflicted part other idiots (Congress & WH being spendaholics) and under enormous pressure for rate cuts this year...have no good options...

For me it matters more how much hot air is in these election year numbers, what sectors and is there underlying economic capacity for these adds to be productive to the economy...

And I've never believed the BS unemployment numbers...they've suppressed those for decades and totally ignore those who've given up...nobody reports the labor force non-participation rate anymore...

And even this data shows stuff people need - shelter, energy account for half...other necessities rose as well...and food being unchanged is NOT the same as good news since prices just stay elevated...

And the casino's interpretation is that at most 2 cuts are priced in with odds of cuts dropping to 20%...and the puking dollar caused other  asset pukes...and bond yields are spiking and well...come on...Powell will come to FJB's aid no matter what it does to the economy so more bad news is coming...
