Interesting outlook
« on: February 19, 2013, 06:43:22 PM »
I prefer going Galt, though.

Quote
36. Going Solzhenitsyn
The election is over. The Revolutionary candidate has won. Stop whining. Stop crying. Face reality and deal with it. The Revolution has triumphed, and the majority has confirmed its power. We who oppose it are now the reactionaries, the kulaks, the bourgeois, the Hated Minority.

With that in mind, here are the Rules we now have to live by — rules proven over and over again through the ages by Hated Minorities everywhere.

    1. Survive, marry, have as many children as possible. Parasitize resources from the Revolutionary State in order to survive.

    2. Preserve the culture. Cling tenaciously to religion, custom, language. Assume “assimilated” disguise to avoid becoming a target of the Revolutionary State.

    3. Build non-institutional links. Form a separate, sub rosa civilization. Associate, do business with, give and receive favors to/from “our people” only, never “them”.

    4. Endure oppression, persecutions, pogroms in dignified silence. Plan in terms of centuries. “Next year in Jerusalem”.

And of course

    0. Cling to Christ and His Rock with all one's might.

This is it, America. Ideology is now irrelevant. Politics are now meaningless. The Revolution has the backing of the people.Nothing we can do will stop them.

We have to stop thinking in terms of debates, elections, majorities, economics. The Revolutionary Vanguard has seized power and shall now proceed to construct the revolutionary order.

We must stop operating on the basis of politics and economics and begin operating on the basis of survival. Voting won't work. Going Galt won't work.

We must now go Solzhenitsyn.

I wasn't quite sure where to put this, but this seems liked the most likely location. Feel free to move it if needed.

Yeah, #1 ain't happening for me even if someone of childbearing age even wanted me to sire some younglings.   ::)

And for those still young enough, surviving with a big brood of kids about has to be, well, kinda tougher than heck, eh?

As for #2 I'll disguise if only to ambush and otherwise bedevil my enemies, not really interested in hiding, again maybe this is because I am well north of 40 now.

For #3 we kinda do that now, right?  I mean I try not to give idiots my money as best I can and associate with only those who share my values, so OK.

As for #4, ahh, screw dignified silence, going Galt cannot even assure that, so at some point making a whole lot of noise is going to happen, and I guarantee those most deserving will bear the brunt.

Hey, Steve Martin just became a daddy at 67. There's still hope.

I raised 3 boys. That was enough for me.

Yeah, the sooner people realize the police are there only to fill out reports after the fact the better.  People should never cede to others what they can do themselves.

We must now go Solzhenitsyn.

[/quote]

The Govt no longer wields legitimate power, and it  hasn't for a long time.  Its hardly a "revolution" nor is it a triumph. Its the inevitable conclusion of what has come before - where a Majority are now so stupid, entitled and dependent,  a fascist socialist "wins" elections (with the help of people voting five times and lax enforcement of voting laws by design) .

A Hated minority we are not- at least not yet, and the fact the media is pushing its propaganda so hard is proof enough of that.   Most of the minions voting for "the revolution"  still have no clue they did so.  They thought they voted for free contraception and  lifelong care. The last vestiges  of the old republic have been swept away , and as asserted,   Elections and debates are unimportant. Economics? Not so much. .  They can and will pass whatever they want but its  not going to change the underlying economic reality that they can't keep showering the children with free candy.  We know it. They know it. That is why they are purchasing bullets and tanks

They know the revolution is yet to be fought, and I don't think there is any doubt left they are gearing up to fight it. However, there is also no doubt they are running out of time to fight it. Its takes money and men to enforce those bajillion new regulations and laws - and they soon will have neither.

I personally would not bring a another child into this world - not with what is soon to follow, but none of this is inconsistent with Going Galt.  I suppose in its purest form, you can't "Parasitize resources from the Revolutionary State",  because you are making some point about not needing them, but I think most of us are over that now, and will gladly take welfare, unemployment and any other program that gets our money back out of the govt  system before its gone.  Forming the Class C corporation and then paying yourself a pittance as camouflage is a good idea, and yes, still consistent with "Going Galt"  - Withdrawing from Liberals  is just a matter of staying sane for people like us.  I still know people who think of a liberal as their friends - but you can't be friends with someone willing to stab you in the back,a person to deep down   sees you not as a person, but as a slave of the collective, and as this progresses more and more will understand that fact, and will be unable to smile at this person who just pointed the govt at their head and demanded yet again they knuckle under and get ass-raped.

But no, we are not going to "endure" pogroms and oppression in silence. The  revolution is yet to happen.  If we loose, these rules may apply, but they are rules for a disarmed and helpless  people.  We are not, and they will be unable to succeed in making us one without a lot of death and bloodshed. The revolution may not be televised, but its not going to happen bloodlessly either.

Channeling Grand Moff Tarkin?  It would be comical if it weren't so serious, that the regime has become pitch-perfect in emulating the villains and dystopia of 70s sci-fi staples. The Empire from Star Wars, Logan's Run, THX-1138, and so on.

But yeah that was my first thought when hearing about what's happening in Oakland: it's the actual, physical proof that the government is illegitimate. State power always boils down to the right granted to it to use physical force to correct and coerce. These people in Oakland resorting to an ad hoc policing and justice system is a clear testament to the state's illegitimacy. It doesn't even matter whether or not they consciously recognize the significance of what they're doing. The fact that we have warning signs 80 miles inside our own national borders, telling citizens to proceed at their own risk on a public highway in their own country, is another such testament. We are living in a failed state. There are elements within it that are self-aware enough to recognize this, and that's why they are preparing for the inevitable open challenge to their authority.

This is merely the tip of the iceberg. We're going to see more and more of this. And we haven't even had true economic failure yet.
