"... it is a fact God makes mistakes", she wrote

And she backed it up with these:

Quote
Here are some mistakes listed in the Bible where God was remorseful:

Genesis 6:6
"6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain."

1 Sam. 15:35
35 Until the day Samuel died, he did not go to see Saul again, though Samuel mourned for him. And the LORD was grieved that he had made Saul king over Israel.

Genesis 8:21-22
"21 The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done."

And, AND, sources her authority on this to having had a Catholic school education.

Last I looked, Catholics were steadfast on the infallibility of God, so, WTF, over.

I see that as God being pained by the fact that, given his freewill, man will sin against Him. It displeases the Lord, but the mistakes are ours and not His.

Yeah, all this proves is God gave us freewill just as he said I did and our actions are not pre-ordained by God.  I guess you could say God made a  bad judgement call in trusting any man with anything. Or he knew from the beginning, as each of us who are parents knew,  that our children would make mistakes. That we would have to trust them anyway, in hopes that they would learn from them, and we hurt each and every time they choose the wrong path.

Heard an atheist on Rush today comment that everything is backwards.
That today people are putting faith in politics and are skeptical about
their God.  In a [sane] world people would put their faith in their religion
and look at politicians with an eye of skepticism.

I heard that too, but I was busy bullying a disabled minority at the moment and didn't really catch all of it.

'Course He does....
How else can you explain Libiots?

Our side.  Right.  She makes me want to spit on my hands and hoist the flag of war.

Dan, God don't make mistakes, not even with Libiots.  Their idiocy and loss of the true path are on them, not Him.

Feel like I'm clueless, listening in on somebody else's personal conversation.

 ::whatgives::
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Sorry, sorry; not the intention.

It's the same brain-dead, blithering idiot (from my local forum) over whom I've done the double face-palm here numerous times.  'Soup posts there sometimes too, so he's aware.

I figured the statement was so outrageous, it wouldn't matter who said it.  I wasn't trying to be cryptic.

I thought there was a first post that was deleted or something.

Explained.
