WOMAN STOPS GRIZZLY ATTACK WITH .25 CAL PISTOL....?.

Woman Stops Grizzly Attack With .25 Cal Pistol













This is a story of self control and marksmanship by a brave, cool-headed woman with a small pistol against a fierce predator.







What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself?







The Beretta Jetfire:












Here is her story:





While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at us from out of no where.






She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive.






If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire with me I would not be here today!






Just one shot to my boyfriend's knee cap was all it took. The bear got him easily, and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace.







It's one of the best pistols in my collection……...

LOL. Yes, it ranks up there with "A small caliber pistol actually will work, but it is necessary to first file down the sights. This makes it much less painful when the bear shoves it up your ass."

Reminds me of the joke of two guys hiking, who come upon a bear. As the bear rears up on its hind legs, one of the hikers eases off his boots and begins to change into tennis shoes. The other hiker reminds him how fast a bear can run and changing shoes will not help.


Punchline? I don't have to outrun the bear, just you.

Another good one I heard:


Visitors to the Katmai National Park in Alaska are cautioned that the park is prime bear habitat, and that all hikers, campers, and fishermen are advised to carry pepper spray and wear bells on their shoes so that they make plenty of noise while walking through the heavy brush and woods.

Visitors are further advised that the park is home to two different species of bear: the black bear and the grizzly bear. The park's informational materials go on to explain that visitors can surmise which species of bear is in the vicinity by examining their droppings. Black bear droppings contain lots of berries and little bits of fur from small prey animals.  Grizzly bear droppings smell strongly of pepper and contain little silver bells.
