« on: April 20, 2013, 01:41:20 PM »
As a result, agents last year were able to seize more than 2,000 firearms, 117,000 rounds of ammunition and 11,072 illegal high-capacity magazines in targeted sweeps

$24 Million dollars ( from gun sales) will be used to confiscate guns in CA

Because gun-confiscating agents do not obtain search warrants, their job involves convincing people to let them into their homes and hand over their guns. If an individual does turn over a gun, he or she can be arrested on suspicion of illegally owning a firearm

Got that- Refuse to consent to to a warrant-less search of your home, or you can be arrested under a charge of having a COP suspect you committed a crime - without a warrant for your arrest and without evidence that you have committed a crime. Guilty till proven innocent. Ironically, all you have to to to circumvent this is - don't answer the door.  A restraining order is a disqualifying event. Anyone can swear one of those out, without evidence or a hearing. Mad at your ex? Get a restraining  order, wait till the police confiscate their guns, and then go and kill them with yours.  They can also confiscate guns registered to other people in the same home - because you might provide them with access.  Of course 30% of the people on the list are there for Mental disorders - including voluntary treatment. Because preventing people from seeking treatment because they own a gun is a good idea. Of course, eventually, they will probably make "gun ownership" a health risk and thus prevent you from buying insurance under Obamcare- forcing you to pay the tax and still not be insured. Look at those Executive Orders again. Oh yeah, that is exactly what they are doing.

The best part?
The state AG says it would take 50 Million to collect all of the guns on the list
So there are around 44,000 guns that need to be retrieved. Wait- you want to risk men's lives and spend over a million retrieving  each gun? And I think that estimate is optimistic. So far they have retrieved 10,000 firearms over the last 5 years.  2000 last year. I could find the budget info for those years, but They are claiming the extra 6 teams this 24, million will buy will let them double that number - at the very best, that is still $12,000 spent for each weapon collected from someone who "wasn't allowed to have it" - with 60% of those being cases where the person was NEVER convicted of a crime and denied due process.

The ocean cannot claim these tyrants fast enough.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
