Anti-Drudge Report

Maybe this is old news but I hadn't seen it before.  Pretty funny really.

US Economy Growth at 2.5% for First Quarter of 2013 as Consumer Spending at 2-Year High

Of course the article linked says

However, there is concern among economists that recent employment and retail sales data suggests spending is slowing. The larger-than-expected fall in government spending was one reason why the GDP came in below analysts' forecasts.

On 1 March, more than $85bn in mandatory government spending cuts, known as the sequester, began. The defence sector was due to bear the brunt of the cuts.

ING economist Rob Carnell said a breakdown of the figures showed "sharp softening" in growth as of March, indicating further weakening over April and May.

He said there was a good chance of the second quarter being "substantially weaker" with a "rogue negative quarter" even possible.

New Jobless Claims Fall to Five-Year Low

Yeah, put that positive spin on it! Workforce participation  hasn't been this low since 1979, and 1 in 5 is on food stamps, and the Jobless claims have been all over and usually revised down, but ignore that.

He absolutely should. They are obviously using his name for notoriety and personal gain, without permission or compensation. Not only should he sue, he should make a claim on any ad or trackback revenues obtained with the unauthorized use of his name.

Me thinks this is nothing but a Democrat front website.  It's all cheer leading personalities and no ideas or real news.  Perfect for an easily manipulated voter base.

Zero Hedge, the Anti-Anti-drudge site reports on that consumer spending that is "up" -  Its up on services. What services I wonder? People getting things fixed and in order before the wave hits maybe? Or is it all cable and phones?

I would guess more of the R&M variety...who can afford to buy anything new?  And new stuff (especially coming out of Chi-Com slave shops) often sucks quality wise...we all know the story...appliances etc...what decade was it anything decent was made that lasts, or made domestically?
