Skimming the 'net this morning I ran across word that Boehner's blocking the special/select committee.

I'll see later if I can find the source.

"There in no there there." Will go down in infamy with "It depends what the definition of 'is' is."  Perhaps even "Waht difference does it make!"!

Please find that news Pan, i can only think of one reason to slow down the special committee...so the Speaker can load it up with his lackeys and control the process and outcome!  Don't be an asswipe Boner, let the process and outcome follow the fricken evidence!

Mark Levin just confirmed.  As far as I'm concerned, that's all the validation needed.

I've had a hunch for a while now that they have something HUGE on Boehner. Some serious skeletons, not just dirt. He's a lap dog and ais aiding and abetting like he's part of their team!

They've got some kind of MoJo, they took Rand Paul and turned him and all his libertarianism and turned it wrong side out.

Definitely. I guess there's more going on in that tanning booth than turning orange.

Add the AP Phone records to the growing scandal.

Add that senior DC based IRS people are involved in the auditing scandal.

Add that the IRS not only intimidated conservative groups via audit but also released their private information to leftist media and leftist advocacy groups.

Should be interesting to see what happens when Petraeus testifies sometime this week.

I would say that new sh*t is hitting the fan every day but that would be inaccurate. It's more like an hour by hour thing. I am beginning to wonder what is next. I mean, not about these scandals but just what the next completely new and heretofore unknown scandal will be next? Hmm...what are we missing? Oh, yeah, I know. We are missing a truly messy sex scandal. Certainly we will get one in before this is all over.

The thing is, everyone on our side of the fence is waiting for it all to blow over and business as usual to return to DC. But, (and feel free to disagree with me) I just don't see it happening this time. There is just too much sh*t for the media to cover up. It's like someone has emptied a dump truck full of bloody chum into the shark tank and the instinctive feeding frenzy is only barely being contained. That the name, "Nixon," is being bandied about so freely by (some in) the media is the clue that this time it's different. Comparing O'Bongo to Nixon is the journalistic equivalent of Godwin's Law. And yet, here we are. It's like you can't un-crack this particular egg. Or eggs.

The country is going down the drain but we may have the somewhat questionable pleasure of seeing the thug responsible for it finally characterized as a bigger thug than Nixon.

I think the key variable here is the AP Wiretapping. Liberals don't care when other people's rights are violated - but when THEIR rights are violated its personal.  The lapdog  press  were willing to play along and cover for Borat when he was advancing the agenda and they were valued allies, but now that he has made it obvious to the press that he will treat them every bit as poorly as he treats "bitter clingers",  its game on. We always knew when things got bad enough the liberals would start to eat their own. The only real question is how far will they take it?   With Obamacare becoming such an obvious liability - one that most of these idiot congress critters went along with mostly based on trust in Pelosi and Reid in their backroom deals, may decide the best way to get that monkey off their back, along with all of these mounting scandals is to finally admit Obama's Birth Certificate is a fraud ( We just found out - He duped all of us!) leaving everything he has signed open to contest and making the blame for all he has done fall on him in hopes of deflecting the guilt by association that is sure to follow.   Will the Democratic establishment attempt to throw Obama under the bus ( and are the Clinton's behind it)  is the big question.

Alas, the damage is done.  If any liberal ever tells me I am paranoid because I don't trust the government (its us!) I will throw this IRS thing their their face and tell them- this is how Liberals act with that sort of power. No there is no reason to trust you on anything. I think even the liberals are sensing it now-- the comment threads on a lot of articles I read on full blown MSM sites are being dominated by Conservatives and the hatred is palpable.  We may be finally reaching the preference cascade,  and will certainly do so if the Media finally starts doing their job.

You would think the morons might be able to barely scrape together just enough self-awareness to realize that our belief in limited government is motivated by exactly such things. Limited government has a certain universality to it that ends up protecting the individual regardless of his position on an ideological spectrum. No, I don't expect them to ever embrace it, but they should at least see how it could end up protecting them as well.

I guess it boils down to the most fundamental difference between us and them. We believe humanity is flawed and prone to immoral acts (which comes straight from the book of Genesis) so we codify hard limits on the power of government.  They on the other hand refuse to give up on their fantasy that humanity is yet perfectible into the New Soviet Man, if only the right sort of geniuses are given total control over everyone's lives.

Oh yeah, and Saudi terrorists are now bringing their own pressure cookers with them when they try to get into the country. It's much more efficient that way.

Quote
Hussain Al Kwawahir was charged in federal court with using an altered passport and lying to a Customs and Border Protection Agent about the pressure cooker, according to The Detroit News. Al Kwawahir arrived Saturday from Saudi Arabia, via Amsterdam, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday in federal court. He told investigators he was here to see a nephew who attends the University of Toledo.

Customs officials noticed a page missing from his passport, then found the pressure cooker during an examination of his baggage, according to authorities. Al Kwawahir said he brought the pressure cooker for his nephew because the devices are not sold in the United States, according to the complaint.
He later changed his story, saying his nephew had bought a pressure cooker in the U.S. but it was broken.

As do I, but it is usually followed with tears because really, they haven't done their job for multiple decades running!

I do not see the AP story being linked to the other scandals and illegalities perpetrated by the Regime on a seemingly daily basis.  At the end of the day JurnoTards are still 100% for the full Left agenda, period.  They may not like some of the crap Obama does, they may not like the Nixonian comparisons, they may not even like Obama as a person...but he is a leftist, he is the first black prez, if he says he's sorry about this AP wiretapping and returns/destroys all records, they'll forgive him...hell they may forgive him if he doesn't do sh*t about it!  The only way Obama could go down is if the PTBs of the Democrat-Media Complex decide it is better to throw him under the bus than Hillary because they want the first woman prez so bad they can't stand it...but they'll never agree to go along with impeaching Obama, not even trying him...if he gets tarnished and nailed with the blame, fine, serves the libiot agenda and keeps the Hildabeast in play.  Without principled leadership in the GOP (there's another laugher for us Alan!) there is no getting anybody on any of this!

I think we're being given the final lesson before the full-court totalitarian press.

This is what it feels like, peasants. This is what it feels like to finally realize that your government can do what it wants with impunity; suffering no consequence for the most egregious offenses.

We've stolen elections; allowed voter intimidation by our Black Panther operatives; run arms to Mexican Cartels; shoved court rulings in your faces; snubbed your Western allies; bowed down to your Islamic enemies; crushed the economy; regulated small businesses out of existence; forcibly taken over your health care; put drones in your skies; run military exercises in your cities; squandered hundreds of billions funneling slush-fund stimulus money to our "green" donors; released tax information and donor lists of our political enemies.... We've done so much to you, and suffered nothing. Now you think that a few dead guys in Libya and political harassment by the IRS is going to bring us down? Please, we're shaking in our shoes.

You might hope the useful idiots in the press will wake up, but even if they do, it's too late. We're tapping their communications too, and we enjoy their squawking.

Now, when we make the final move to strip you of your quaint notions of "liberty" and rid you of all ties to the way things used to be, you'll already understand that there's nothing you can do short of revolt.

Impeachment? Ha! Go for it. Never forget you're dealing with the "First Black President". We'll destroy any Republican who dares. And if they get any notions of "honor" or "duty", well, we've got Harry Reid. We know how to circle the wagons, unlike you fools.

There's nothing you can do. Despair.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

And then there is the scandal that is O'BongoCare. When you campaign unceasingly that healthcare will cost less, a lot less, and that you will be able to keep both your current insurance plan and your current doctor and NONE of it ends up being even remotely true, well, that's a bit of a problem.

Quote
Internal cost estimates from 17 of the nation's largest insurance companies indicate that health insurance premiums will grow an average of 100 percent under Obamacare, and that some will soar more than 400 percent, crushing the administration's goal of affordability.

New regulations, policies, taxes, fees and mandates are the reason for the unexpected "rate shock," according to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which released a report Monday based on internal documents provided by the insurance companies. The 17 companies include Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Kaiser Foundation.

LINK

Now, the way that I do math, when someone says, "insurance premiums will grow an average of 100 percent" that means "double." And 400 percent means "quintuple." That's a bit more than "your healthcare cost will go down."

If you don't think that O'BongoCare is a scandal I say to just wait until these realities start to hit the stupid people.

Blaming the sequester will not get it done.

So, yeah, I'm kinda wondering when the next major terrorist attack is going to hit. Need a distraction, a big one.

Maybe something with guns so that this idiot can get back on board:
