Nice to see science and engineering up there...but I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that if they look at the backgrounds there are more non-natives in those pursuits...our wayward youth still favoring junk degrees...

The comments are a hoot, the escort angle being the lockerroom favorite...

In my America, God blesses the people who find more and more oil.

To be honest, the low end degree, Finance, has tremendous potential to outpace the other degrees over time if one becomes a CPA and/or earns a Masters in Tax.

I really want to know the starting salaries for those with Wymyns Ethnic Gender Studies degrees.  What's minimum wage work out to for a year?

I can vouch for that statement 20 years ago. It can only have gotten worse since.  All of those salaries are twice the going rate from 20 years ago as well. . . converted to real terms, most of those disciplines are drawing at least an  additional $10K worth of earning power in 1993 dollars.  I can only assume that is because demand is up. I do know that my company is still taking a long time to find and hire others. That is good. It might sting a bit more when I go Galt.

Agreed.  And the more the crunch comes, the more painful all the Galt's are going to be.  So be it.
