America 2050

America under siege.  All the while conservatives tussle with liberals in the political arena the little central planners are undisturbed and busy transforming America to its communist fantasies.

wiki:  Megaregions of the United States are clustered networks of American cities whose population ranges or is projected to range from about 7 to 63 million by the year 2025. America 2050, an organization sponsored by the Rockefeller and Ford Foundations, lists 11 megaregions in the United States and Canada. Megapolitan areas were explored in a July 2005 report by Robert E. Lang and Dawn Dhavale of the Metropolitan Institute at Virginia Tech. A later 2007 article by Lang and Nelson uses 20 megapolitan areas grouped into 10 megaregions. The concept is based on the original Megalopolis model.

Megaregions, scroll down this page and in all probability you'll find plans for your region.  They are an inclusive lot.

How many windmills will it take to power a megaregion?

So often your pithy ability to cut to the chase makes me smile Don.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

- Thomas Jefferson

My abstract thought process betrays me. LOL. Yea, these damn "intellectuals" think about housing, transportation, yada, yada, yada.....But how about  POWER, or SEWER, or GARBAGE STORAGE....or maybe they will burn the garbage for fuel. My little city is facing the same issues. They have all these grand plans, build a few buildings and find their sewer system is woefully inadequate. No one wants to plan the important stuff, like what to do with your chit, and your trash, much less hos much energy it will demand to fule MEGATRON.

I wouldn't worry about the food as they're plenty of people to eat and feed the masses. Funny thing though since so many liberals are mind numbed idiots, they conveniently forget the truth of abortion and limited healthcare. As Don mentioned ref to the sanitary conditions, disease will be everywhere and so the mortality rate will become turd er third world.

Fortunately I'll be long gone by 2050. A colonoscopy looks more inviting.

No, They will die way to quickly and there won't be adequate refrigeration. Unless some long lasting, room temperature  Soylent Green recipe is found,  people won't be a decent long term  food supply, though  that hasn't stopped my buddy from talking about opening a "long-pig" restaurant  at the Colorado/Wyoming border. And yes, he does own this book
