(Those aren't image files, Alan. They have to be .jpg or .pnp or .gif or something like that for them to show up.)

We are going to find a veteran gravesite that is not being attended to and lay a wreath. We don't have any deceased war veterans in our family yet (thankfully, since my son just finished a tour in Kandahar last year) so we do what we can.

Other than that, for the holiday I am planning on taking my scoped rifles out to the forrest and sighting them in. I am taking mrs. trapeze and our daughter along so that they can get some experience with the long guns. I have four scoped rifles so that should take some time, even with the laser bore sight tool.

Also planning on doing some more work on my prepping storage areas. I have my water storage up to a couple of hundred gallons so far but my plan is to get it up to well over a thousand. I have also been collecting the materials that will be going into the bug out bags and those items need to be sorted and itemized. When I get closer to finishing that project I will take some pictures and post them.

Also doing a mini-barbecue on Monday with friends. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Fixed it for ya.

To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Thanks for posting AlanS - and thanks for fixing IDP ;-) - they were worth it.

Quiet holiday weekend for me. Well, maybe not so quiet today - I'm working in the gardens so I set up my Mackie speakers and playing classic 60's rock. Sure to annoy the neighbors ;-) Tomorrow I'm working on my truck. Monday we have a Veteran's Memorial service to attend at the cemetery where I Pop is buried.

I hope all is well with all of y'all.

God Bless all those who have served and especially all those who gave their last full measure.

The memorial service went well - if not very soggy.

I saw my old (and I mean really old!) high school shop teacher there. He volunteers at the cemetery and was there playing the bugle. He performed the Call to Arms and blew Taps. Our moron governor was there and made sure to make as much of his address all about him as possible. What a putz! Afterward I went looking for my teacher to pay my respects. I found him standing near the gov. I made a point of turning my back to the gov so that I could speak to the teach and let him know how much I appreciated his teaching and his influence on me when I was a kid.

We laid flowers at Mom and Dad's grave (they're buried together) and then it was time to rejoin the rat-race.
