Since it starred Channing Tatum, my wife suddenly had interest in watching an action flick, so off we went to the movies.

First, as I attempt to find any redeeming value to this propaganda piece, it did contain action. Plenty of bullets and bombs but action alone could not save this, seriously, pure Obama propaganda piece of human excrement. The little girl who played as Tatums daughter was good. There, it was all the movie had to offer.

The script is predictable....Down and out agent suddenly finds himself protecting the President, whose "vision" is a peace filled Middle east.....Unfortunately, the presidential character AND his family poor Channing had to save was none other than barack hussain Obama, no they didn't have the gonads to use his name, but it is unmistakable. There is simply no other conclusion to reach. The only thing the movie didn't do was have him play golf or shoot hoops. The first part of the movie was used to set up this "vision" and make the presidential staff appear to be sent straight from heaven. It was a sickening display of self congratulory bullspit.

Of course, the bad guys are "right wing extremists" (as the term is used several times) and there is no suspense, it is known from the beginning who would be the main bad guy, right down to questioning who in their administration would do such a thing, only for Obama to comment it was not ONE OF HIS appointees. ( The head of the Secret Service)

There were so many instances in this flick which will make you groan out loud......The Lincoln references, the watch, the unbelievable display regarding their Constitutional concerns as the attack took place, ( they were so faithful to the Constitution ), their reverence for the 1st amendment, for rule of law, the use of a Bible.....Literally everything Obama HAS NOT done. I don't know if I can really explain how these instances were portraited, but if you go watch this flick, they are UNMISTAKEABLE. It literally made it possibly the worst movie I HAVE EVER SEEN.

Of course, in the end, and yes I kid you not, there is WORLD PEACE. All nations bowed at the throne called Obama, Israel and the Middle East are signing a peace treaty and becoming FRIENDS. Guess when it is a total flustercluck in real life, why not create a piece of fiction to sooth the ego.

Now, my brave wife KNEW what I was thinking and she tried to spin some positives....and she had a point. The White House was invaded and destroyed and there was a certain ineptness exposed, probably closer to the attitude of THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION. And I made it a point to study the crowd as we left and I believe many felt as I did, the theater was literally SILENT as we left, except for a couple of black guys who actually thought there was world peace.

If I was flying solo, I would have left. Maybe I've become so cynical, so skeptical, it wasn't as hideous as I think. Who am I kidding, this film was pure propaganda. At one point in the movie, mr tatum told the president that he did not vote for him. At the end of the flick, he told him he would.

Maybe someone else will endure it and form a different opinion.

I read a FReeper critique of the flick last night. He noted out what apparently is the obvious and one contrarian took issue with him disagreeing that the presidential character was not modeled in any way after Øbozo. This brought a score of other posters out of the woodwork to disagree.

Yup - all part of the vilification of the white male. I get the sense that by isolating and demoralizing us they will be able to take the jobs that white men would otherwise be doing (in a simple-minded net-sum game sorta way). I have news for them - if we don't do it it don't get done. Do they honestly think the Øbamaphone army is going to be able to accomplish what we do? Seriously?!

I don't care. I'm edging toward the end of my working days. I'm in an interesting position where, even though our new management doesn't like me (in all of my decidedly non-politically correct splendor!), there isn't another person in the company that can do what I do. And it would take 2-3 to replace me. So, as long as I don't rub their faces in it too hard I suppose they'll keep me around for a while longer. I'll leave it to the young to suck it up and meet the challenge head on (and possibly survive) or go play video games until the death panels decide their fates.

I knew someone like that in NJ -- (there's something about IT guys) -- and the non-PC wasn't particularly the issue, it was he was more a self-directed problem-solver/innovator, working on that stuff instead of tinkering with whatever happy-happy-joy-joy BS the suits wanted him doing.  They grudgingly put up with him because even his half-hearted tinkering was productive.

Oh yeah, there is no disguising it anymore. In Mecklenburg County, NC (which is the county Charlotte is in) they recently fired their county manager, who was a black man. In their search for a replacement, a county commissioner -- a black woman -- made the comment that "it should not be a white male". I mean, just like that. Not "we should take into account diversity" or some other BS couched statement like they used to make. Now it's just straight up "no white men", and it's so thoroughly acceptable that this county commissioner just stated it matter of factly without any hint of embarrassment or sense that it would get her into hot water.

To Soup's point, I've been thinking about that for a long time. Ever since the Left first started proudly and triumphantly declaring our brown future (which I first noticed in the early 90s with those magazine covers showing computer generated faces as what the future American will look like), I've thought "and just who is going to keep all this sh*t running?".  Do you really think the sort of future American they have in mind is going to be able to maintain nuclear power plants, let alone proper chain of custody for such things as nuclear warheads?

Pan is exactly right, we've already seen previews of how this is going to play out. A lesser known example is Haiti. When it was a French colony, it was wealthier than all the 13 colonies of mainland America. When the French were massacred, it took on the present form, i.e. untreated raw sewage emptied directly into streams. Or a less exotic example, just look at American cities that have been run by Da Commoonitee for decades.

Nice to see this tanking at the box office though...they might think the whole country is as stark-raving FOS as they are, but when people vote with their money different things happen.  Not saying the trend towards shiythole status is abating or recoverable, just saying not everybody is a kool-aid guzzing lunatic.
