Really, all they need in these areas is for AlGore to come in and host a AGW conference, it'll cool off amazingly fast!

 ;D

It's nowhere near that extreme here but we went from day after day of torrential rain to 92 yesterday and 96 today. Tomorrow should be around 90 and (depending on which weather-liar you listen to) it should taper off down the week.

Fortunately I don't need an excuse to be a lazy SOB  ;D

Oh oh, you used that FedSpeak word..."taper"...but you used it correctly and honestly.   ;)

Heard this report on the radio this morning - 19 firefighters from Prescott killed fighting Yarnell fires, sad.

But this tradgedy highlights one of my pet peeves...having to be lectured by idiot newsies and politards to honor and mourn these first responders, as if normal people are incapable of being decent human beings...

This has got to be the most hyped non event in history.  Las Vegas is above 110 every summer.  Same with Phoenix.  Death Valley over 120.  It happens every year.  And this is news because one day might be a few degrees above that?  And as Bastardi said, 117 in Vegas was a much bigger deal in 1949 (was it?) when the airport was in the country, instead of now surrounded by city and cement.

No, Death Valley isn't forecasted to break their record.

Heh, that's a pretty big statement MNHawk...in a world of over-hype that is...and what is deserving atttention (like I dunno, maybe Benghazi, F&F, Spygate, etc) gets zip, zero and nada.
