I appreciate his plea, but I must look at "The west" as lost. As Weisshaupt posted above, the corruption is too widespread and the republican party too engrained. We get back to the lesser of two evils debate. I used to be convinced voting republican was the way to go and the Tea Party needed to be more of an ideal than an actual party. I no longer believe in this manner.
If a 3rd party begins ( Cmon Sarah) and its cornerstone are the core principles which created this country, I'm in. You know why? Well, the plea from Mr Loudon provides my answer......"How in God’s name, did a bunch of poorly armed farmers and lawyers, laborers, shopkeepers and tradesmen, seriously hope to defeat the mightiest army in the world at that time? Yet they did it. "
I agree with a lot of what he pleads....I just don't think it will be accomplished by bowing at the feet of the republican establishment. I don't believe, if we attempted to form a branch within the confines of the republican party, we would get the so called advantages of their in place machine. If I'm gonna be vilified, persecuted and reviled, it will be outside of the republican so called safety net.
