He IS going to put a dumbass in DHS. After all, we have Kerry in State. We have Hagel in Defense. He just appointed Kennedy to the ambassadorship for Japan. There are other examples but those are probably the most egregious.

So, I'm thinking...if he is going to nominate a dumbass we could do a lot worse. Why? Well, take Hagel, for instance...He is an absolute dumbass and he is seriously screwing over the military but he is low profile so the media ignores his transgressions and the public is then largely ignorant of how President Zero is screwing over the military.

On the other hand, Lee is anything but low profile. That idiot demands a press conference to take a dump. She would be on display as the very visible and very ugly face of the Dumbass administration 24/7. She would create scandal because she does that now as a rep. She is totally and completely corrupt and proud of her corruption.

So, if we have to have a dumbass in DHS this is probably the best we could hope for.

And if Obongo is determined to start a race war she would happily cooperate because in addition to being corrupt she is an incredible racist.

And I don't see the Senate Republicans having the guts to block the nomination. McCain would probably be gushing over the "bold" choice.

I hope he does appoint her...and I hope from day to day she alternates between the "medusa" look and the 1970s black power afro look. I agree with Trap, she would be the perfect face for this administration.

Aye, anybody he appoints will come with a trainload of rotten baggage...and Pubbies will rubber-stamp anyway, even if a few piss and moan for show...

If everything goes sideways might as well have to worst of the worst standing front and center holding the bag...

Well, the way I see it is this:

The Democrats own this mess just like they own Detroit. Now I don't want to see SCOTUS appointments because of the longevity and length and breadth of the disaster that that entails but DHS? Sure. Let them screw the pooch with that one. SJL would use the the department as a weapon for race revenge and yes, it would be bad, but she will overreach with every move she makes and people will scream. Plus, she will undoubtedly be lax where it counts and maybe a large population of east coast libs will get a visitation from an Iranian WMD or something like that.

The bottom line is that it would be a huge disaster to have her in DHS just like Kerry in State and Hagel in Defense and so on.

And the Democrats own this mess. Every stinking, steaming pile. And I don't mean just the elected and appointed Democrats. I'm talking about every last one of them that voted to elect and then re-elect King Putt. Everyone involved needs to be taught a big huge awful lesson about electing socialists and Marxists. They need to have it burned into their low information brains: Never again.

Yeah, that latter part is the only item to debate...can low-info brains accept reality as it is not reality as it is protrayed by the Democrat-Media Complex?

On that score I have grave doubts...but if partially infected indpendents and such can wake up, yeah, perhaps disaster can yet be postponed a bit...

Just a bit though, the trend is still awful across the board...but, it is what it is...

If I remember correctly, she started out serving in the City of Houston as several positions. She ended up being on the City Council, and we sucessfully sent her to the State of Texas as either a state rep or senator, I don't remember which. It was our desire to just get her out of Houston - period!

Then she came back as a US Rep setting up shop in one of the Houston districts. Seems we just can't get her out of Houston. I'm afraid even in the DHS, she would still be able to screw our lives unbelievably here in Houston. That's why (selfishly) I was trying to relocate her to Mars.
