Setting everything else aside...I like Ted, but I read stuff like this and I cannot help but smell a rat!

History seems to be rather unkind to the eventual fate of party nominees and general election hopefulls who happen to capture the overblown Iowa stakes...so I cannot help but wonder if this is another Rovian type attack on Ted to set him up as "the guy" only to sabotage the crap out of him when the timing is right.

Cruz is only setting himself up as a contender, by being honest and refreshing. 

BUT

Honest and refreshing are pretty much anti-Republican values, in 2013, so yes, Rove is probably plotting already.  As well as Donald Trump, who has crawled out if his hole to start taking shots at Cruz.
