At first I thought this was a hoax. But there's video, and it's convincing video. Read and watch for yourself. The video is fascinating, not so much in the content (because I couldn't tell you what I was looking at), but because the scientists have the things on video, and do not know what they are.

Teaser: wormlike, with arms, and basic intelligence.

Unknown Life Form Discovered In N.C. Sewer System
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Right at the end, that sewer polyp had what appeared to be an antenna that laid back away from the camera.

North Carolina sewer version of escargot without the shell?

I think I almost threw up a little in my mouth.

So it's already smarter than the average President Skittles voter. ::thumbsup::

My work here is done.

I have to say, I've never been a squeamish one when it comes to gross conversation/pictures while eating.  Never bothered me.  Now gross food bothers me (like burnt eggs), but not gross conversations while playing dog and guarding my bowl.

If gross conversation while eating bothers you, never eat raw oysters/clams with me.  The running commentary would cause you to hurl.

I don't think it was so much the subject/food combo as it was the visual video image combined with the term "sewer polyp".

My guess it's the Prez's colon. Only parasites live there.
I'm not always engulfed in scandals, but when I am, I make sure I blame others.
