Part of me is shocked that they would come down on a person of color...but...haters of religion seem to be equal opportunity pains-in-the-ass!

"She was recently told by school officials that the prayers were not welcome after someone filed a complaint with the Freedom From Religion Foundation."

FFRF - f**king Fiends and Rotting f**ks!!!  They all need to be destroyed!!!

We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

That was my reaction too. If there are any liberty-loving God fearing Christians in her town, they need to lock arms now, stand outside that school, and pray loud. Force the government to react or stand down.

It seems Christians are going to have to get hauled to jail by "authorities" in opposition to the 1st Amendment before we unite and resist in support of it.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

when will it happen?

it seems that these types of events are happening all around the country but where are the outraged crowds that took over townhalls 4 years ago?

IRS goon squads were let loose upon them, that's what happened.

The only way to beat them is not to be afraid to lose it all.

NARAL sued Pro-Life Action league and Joe Schiedler for over 20 years under RICO.  He and his family lived with the risk of losing everything. He pressed on.  He eventually won the lawsuit.  For that attitude to prevail we all have to be willing to stick together and help those who are at risk (financially usually).

Yup. Something along the lines of a movement pledging lives, fortunes, and sacred honor is required before it's too late. The realities of the challenges and the changed character of the nation leave me little reason to be optimistic that this will happen in a large enough fashion to save the country.

Yes. Ann Barnhardt has referred to it as "riding out to meet them". Remember that scene in Braveheart, the first battle scene, where the Scottish nobles were planning how to reach terms with the English to avert s battle, like they'd done many times before? William Wallace instead rode out to meet the English messengers and said "I'm going to pick a fight". And the GOP reminds me of those Scottish nobles so much.

The days of trying to be reasonable and compromise are over. We all know what their plans are. They need to be confronted for what they are. Acquiescing is the worst possible choice, especially now. It emboldens them and encourages them to move forward with their agenda.  Also, as to what happened to the people packing town halls 4 years ago? In addition to the IRS goon squads happening to them, the party that courted their support happened to them. Their genuine zeal and grassroots phenomenon was totally squelched by the Republican Party and quite deliberately so.
