This whole thing is worth watching (14 1/2 minutes) because it escalates as it goes, but if you're pressed for time, you can get a good idea by watching the first 4-5 minutes and the last 3-5.

It goes without saying that a person should not have to go through this. Most people will just comply because it is the path of least resistance. Admirably, this young woman is made of tougher stock.

Border check point officer vs young woman in car..'it's none of your business'(video)

"I don't give you permission to inspect my car."
"Am I free to go, or am I being detained."
"I am a United States citizen, and you don't have the right to detain me."
"That's none of your business, am I free to go."
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

The soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.

There was a guy in the car with her instructing her what to do. I figured that the lady wasn't too hard on the eyes, the way the young BP agent was smiling at her.

Good for them both.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living
are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

I love a happy ending.

I'm kind of surprised. She was a blonde after all. ::unknowncomic::

Kudos to her for standing her ground. ::thumbsup::
