Yeah, that was good. Would like to have seen something about the real push for Regime change, which if we recall the start of this was Regime change, was needed to get the pipeline the Qatari's & Saudi's want to profit from and which the Euro's want but not enough to ante up their troops and material, besides the American mercenaries are easy to hire. The baseless charges of war for oil regarding Iraq never was true and still has not materialized, last I checked gas prices are still elevated, and at least Bush had Congressional approval, a broad international backing and a slew of UN (for what that's worth) resolutions...what does Obama have? The promises of his regime that Assad attacked his own people? No evidence necessary, trust in Obama, he would never lie to us, right? Maybe he could scribble that in crayon and release it to the presscorps. No blood oil. Yes, we didn't get any oil for our blood in Iraq. No blood for gas for Europe, how about that?
Even the Neo-Hawks in the Senate are now waffling.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/09/09/obama-congress-syria-vote-in-doubt/2788597/And for arguments sake, let's say Assad used chemical weapons on his civilians, so what? What strategic interest is it of ours? Democrats were never moved by Saddam gassing Kurds? What's changed? Democrats never intervened in Rwanda? What's changed? Thailand? Burma? North Korea? Where is our national interest in Syria?
Obama only has AQ & MB clowns in the so-called "rebel" ranks in Syria and nefarious financial backers in Qatar and the House of Saud on his side...everybody else is giving PeacePrize the middle finger. This is epic epic failure.
