It remains to be seen whether that will turn out to be a cause for celebration.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Well I, for one, will remain optimistic. Nobody could screw up this country, than the current White House monkey.....er president.

It will be nice when he's gone. But it's gonna take a whole helluva lot more than a new President to fix the mess this country is is in. A helluva lot.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

It's going to take a new attitude to reverse the damage and I think we can all attest to that.

Here's some optimism for you:  Owebama is constantly pushing the American people so that we eventually rebel against his Big Daddy Government BS.  Once there is a rebellion, martial law is enacted.  (Hell, it coulde be a Reichstag Fire/Assassination of Sergei Kirov moment as well.)  Then Owebama, not a big fan of the Constitution and its 'negative liberties for the Government', ignores the 22nd Amendment.  Seriously, with our 'spines of jello would be an improvement' Republicans, who would stop him?

I'm not discounting this potentiality, but I will note that I remember people saying the same thing about Bill Clinton, and then Lefties said the same thing about George W. Bush.

I think it is a testimony to the American people's innate understanding of how fragile the compact between citizen and government really is. We understand that there are events that can take place that could devolve into full-on malevolent tyranny very quickly. When we see a President behaving in a way that shows contempt for that compact according to our own view, our minds naturally go to the martial law/tyrant scenario.

I happen to agree that something like this is more likely now under this President than at any other time of which I'm aware. I'm just noting that Obama isn't the only or first to have this suspicion cast upon him.

What you say is true.  What may be of equal concern, or more, is massive voter fraud by the Left in order to shoehorn the next marxist in.

On a related issue:  True The Vote was finally granted its tax exempt status by the IRS, so I'm counting on them to greatly assist in fighting that.

Weisshaupt is right, no need to go full thugotard yet, they still have the game rigged enough to be able to assure the DemonRat nominee is a show in against the next feckless Pubbie ankle-grabbing loser, and we all know who that will be!

And having Slick Willie back roaming the halls of power for young chunks will be such nostalgic fun, eh?!
