I do not believe that any one of those people voted with good intentions

there are a few names there that at one time you would've thought wouldn't vote for it

Priebus or whateverthehellthatguysnameis should expel them, and if he doesn't then conservatives and libertarians need to tell the entire GOP to go to Hell!

This could be the watershed moment that kills the GOP for good.

Let them die...

I'll be using it.

I used to be a card carrying, money-donating member of the RNC.

Never again.

Maybe some other party or org but not these losers.

What possible justification could these people have for voting for cloture, other than wanting the process to move forward, giving Reid the opportunity to strip the defunding language? Is there another reason I don't see?

If that IS the only possible reason, then either they want Obamacare funded, OR, they want the opportunity to vote "no" on Reid's amendment, believing that the Lo-Info voters will accept their "no" vote as opposition, making them politically safe.

I wish the senate would be zapped into oblivion.

The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Ayotte was on C-Span the other day and said she's against BO-care but that cloture was the way to go on this because no one (NO ONE?) wants the government to close.

There are those who argue that BO-care will collapse because it just won't work. I think they're wrong. It will require even more taxes and government agencies to keep it going. Look at education.

Even if it were to collapse under its own weight, it is folly to assume that Obama and the Leftists would be blamed. Rush was very convincing on this yesterday. His point is that it is the media who are the official blame-assigners.

If Obamacare is allowed to come to fruition and then collapse without a real fight, under the assumption that the Democrats will suffer the blame and electoral consequences, then what will happen is Obama, the Leftists, and the media will blame the "obstructionists" in the GOP and their "extremist" masters in the terrorist Tea Party for undermining and subverting the success of Obamacare from the very beginning. They'll say that it failed because the GOP made it fail.

You can take that to the bank. There will be no "natural" consequences for the Leftists when Obamacare implodes.

As Rush says, these things have to be beat back, continuously and relentlessly. We can never assume that voters will punish Leftists for their failures, and rely on that as a strategy.

The Voters ( both living and dead)  are paid not to care, and believe whatever the MSM throws at them. Obamacare will be a disaster. The dollar will crumble, and all it will "prove" is that we needed single payer all along ( which was the point of Obamacare being a disaster by design)  and that Boosh! is at fault.  Quite frankly, I don't care what the jackals believe, as long as they starve to death while doing it.

OK, so Lindsay and McCain got their way and the senate voted to fund Obamacare,
now, is it my understanding that Obama won't accuse the GOP of shutting down the government anymore?
I'm listening to the Rats, and I can't seem to tell the difference in the way they are treating the GOP, so what did we accomplish in implementing McCain's and the establishment's strategy?

Just curious.........

Oh yeah,

One of the competing theories of how to deal with Obamacare by the GOP:
just sit back and let obamacare collapse and the democrats will own it.

Really?

Are they really that stupid, or, do they think we're that stupid to believe that theory?

The democrats WANT obamacare to collapse, so the big government t@rds can step in and take it over and save us. That has been their design from the beginning. Why is it that our establishment GOP T@rds form the majority of the GOP? Is there any reason for any one of them to be allowed to go back to washington? Can't we send them to Cuber where they can be fat dumb and stupid?

It's because they're a phony opposition. Every single Republican in the Senate ran on the premise that Obamacare will be a disaster and it must be undone, yet they have since then resisted any effort to fight it beyond simple up-or-down votes that were foregone conclusions.

You see, the GOP exists for one major reason. They exist to be the default vote getter for conservatives, to corral our votes so that they can then be shoved into storage. People put together one last impressive groundswell in an attempt to reform this party, since it was the expedient vehicle to try and counter the Democrats. But this party is simply unsalvageable.

They are banking on people just becoming disgusted and/or fatigued by the whole thing, throwing up their hands, and letting our Ruling Class be actual rulers. I have no intentions of acquiescing to these sh*theads. If Going Galt is the only thing we have left, then so be it. In the meantime I will do everything to spoil the GOP, up to and including voting for Democrats. Like it really matters anyway. It might mean we become a full blown Democratic Socialist state, but I will luxuriate in the schadenfreude that the GOP is dead and buried.

It may well be naive, but I have hope that the battle taking place within the GOP now can be won. People like Paul, Cruz, and Lee give me that hope.

Now, whether that hope can manifest in time to save the country is another question entirely. But at least it gives me something upon which to focus positive energy and effort.
