Governor Scott Walker Removes Federal Barricades in WI

Again, Scott Walker shows everybody else how it's done.

Quote
Shutdown Hero: Gov Walker Removes Federal Barricades in Wisconsin

The state Department of Natural Resources on Wednesday refused a directive from the National Park Service to close a host of popular state properties because of the federal government shutdown.

The park service ordered state officials to close the northern unit of the Kettle Moraine, Devil’s Lake, and Interstate state parks and the state-owned portion of the Horicon Marsh, but state authorities rebuffed the request because the lion’s share of the funding came from state, not federal coffers.

. . . in a sign of defiance, the DNR removed the barricades at the landing, saying it had the legal authority to operate the launch under a 1961 agreement with the federal government.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Scott Walker is the template, if the national GOP weren't such morons they would realize this. He's not flashy, he's not loud, just quietly competent and the perfect example of what "civil service" is.

You can tell he really hit the Left where it hurts by their stunts in Madison. It sounds all dry and esoteric to have debates about collective bargaining and mandatory union membership, but that's really the lifeblood of these cretins and choking it off can actually do lasting damage to them.

Following the links back to the original article, then read the comments.  That's the feral garbage who don't like Walker, nor their parks open, apparently.

Madison and Milwaukee (and maybe Superior) aside, the rest of Wisconsin is not moonbat effing stupid.

As with all real leaders who live rent-free in libiot heads...the true sign you are on the right path is when your enemies are going stark raving nuts (not that they are not nuts already, just provoked into uncontrollable displays of it), so by all means PRESS ON!

Scott Walker's would be Dem Challenger Mary Burke forgot to register her domain so somebody beat her to it and the results are stellar.

Walker's goals have proven to be working.  Union membership has dropped to very low levels.  Only the hardcore have refused to acknowledge WI didn't fail because of Walker but has actually gotten better. The school districts that chose to limit collective bargaining were able to save money and rehire teachers.  The few districts that didn't are still in the same boat--over budget and letting teachers go.

The lefties predicted all these great calamities and none happened.  But even with proof they can't let it go.

Where are the Scott Walkers in DC?  Why is not ONE Tea Party member going apenuts 24/7 explaining the obvious -

Obama's scaremongering over the so-called shutdown (at best only 17% is shut down) and the debt ceiling by spouting off about how not caving into Obama's non-negotiable negotiating offer will result in defaut - DEFAULT CAN ONLY HAPPEN IF OBAMA PLANS ON DEFAULTING!  The IS takes in $200+ billion each month is tax revenue...BY LAW we have to pay interest on the debt ($25-30B/Mo) before anything else...next to be honored should be bonds hitting maturity dates...after that EVERYTHING IS DISCREATIONARY!  Emperor Obama is turning the world upsude down and accusing others of what he plans.  How do we know this?  Look at him going out of his way to be a vindictive prick about blocking off access to public places that are not subject to Federal control!  Obama is saying he will tell bondholders (Hey GM bondholders, remember this routine?) to f**k off, no interest, no principle for you!  Why?  Because he and his Regime have the MFM to blame the Republicans and because he would literally rather die a horrible death than stop the flow of goodies to the Free sh*t Army and the bureaucrats that keep the free sh*t flowing!

Why is there not ONE member banging the drum loudly with this message?

What did I hear today...Ryan, floating a plan to end the funding debate, not mentioning holding the line on ObamaCare, not even the one year delay...

Could it be as we all feared it would go down...lip service to Tea Party people, Lucy Republican pulling the football back and chuckling while the terminally foolish conservative Charlie lands flat on his back...again?!

The beatdown the GOP is in store for if they capitulate is going to be epic.

Wonder what they'll be thinking about as angry mobs start dangling them from streetlights?
