Saw this posted at AoS tonight on the ONT. It's about the poisonous tone coming from the left.

Yeah, I know...what's new about that?

Well, the point of the post is that while we have heard this kind of stuff for quite a few years coming out of leftist blogs it is now coming from the very top levels of the Democrat party. Maetenloch is suggesting a violent end to it all that is not without precedent...

The Democrats think this kind inciting language has no ill effects but they're unthinkingly tearing away at the necessary social fabric for keeping a society running. You can only demonize people (including 47% of the country which is a lot of people) for so long. Not every Republican is an Orrin Hatch or John McCain who will continually turn the other cheek in the name of statesmanship and civility.

Their boyfriend won't be president forever nor will the Senate be always be Democratic-ruled. Yet they're crossing lines and taboos - last crossed in the late 1850s - as if the status quo will last forever. They're sowing the wind without any thought to the  consequences.

Yeah...that was one of a mutlitude of assy moves.  Yes, I said "assy"...I know Prez Purple Lean will hear "classy"...but I really mean assy!

That's just it, though...you start with dehumanizing your enemy so that when the violence starts you aren't attacking/hurting/damaging/killing human beings but are instead doing it to "monsters." And everyone knows that there is no sin in attacking monsters so it's okay.

When this type of talk is coming from the fringe it is just that, fringe talk. When this type of talk comes from the very top levels of government, from the very top levels of society then it moves from "talk" to tacit approval of physical damage.

After all, the media does not hold the Democrats responsible for breaking the law so why would they hold Democrat minions responsible for slaying monsters? The media doesn't hold black people responsible for black on black crime/murder and especially for black on white crime/murder so why would they hold Democrat minions responsible for physically carrying out the now spoken aloud fantasies of their leaders?

Sure, they might be held responsible especially if they are blatant about their attacks but they could reasonably expect to not be looked at very closely based on the examples that they are being exposed to in the media.

What the authors are suggesting is that the Democrats are fomenting a sort of civil war by ignoring the normal self imposed restraints of a civil society in pursuit of their political agenda.

If they are correct then we will see ever increasing physical attacks on Republicans, self identified Tea Party members, self identified conservatives, etc. People who fall under these labels (that's us) are going to be the new Jews. The scapegoats. The enemy. The demons. The source of all of society's ills.

Unlike the Jews of the last century, though, I would like to think that we will be more than able to defend ourselves when that time comes. We have the equipment. We have the proper mindset.

So that's the small picture. Is there a bigger picture here? Is there some sort of deeper level to this manipulation? In other words, are they fomenting civil unrest for a reason? I don't like to assign more intelligence to the Democrats than they deserve and, lets' face it, these are some pretty stupid people.

I think that we just need to stay vigilant.

I think you have a bit of both. TPTB - the people behind the kabuki pulling the strings -  I think they know perfectly well what they are doing, and lefties are so very, very, very easy to manipulate, that the stupidity is easy to direct.  It would certainly server them better to have the war start BEFORE the dollar collapse so they still have money to pay the thugs with. They really have to get a police state in place, and the best excuse we could give them for Martial law  is open rebellion and fighting in the streets.  Of course Martial law will only exacerbate the fighting in some places , but in many others, the most populous places on the East and Left coast,   the Lefties can consolidate their control and hegemony.

Should be a lot of fun either way. If you thought that "Dawn of the Dead" had some amusing scenes in it like me then you're going to love the up and coming civil unrest. Zombies aren't just the flesh eating Hollyweird created types, they're real people coming after your food in the same manner a swarm of locusts come after your field. Shoot first and ask questions later. Lime supply will be something we probably shouldn't over look becasue we're going to need it.
