Yeah I've thought about that prospect before. Sort of like in the Star Wars prequels, how they depict large corporate interests having their own seats in the Galactic Senate with the same voting privileges as representatives of entire populations. I think the truth will be the hybrid version we see all around us already. Corporate and government interests intertwined, codependent, and pursuing the same agenda: i.e. reducing the individual to serfdom in this new techno-feudalism.

I've so far gotten around the ID tracking with the grocery "loyalty" cards; I use 'em because I never filled in the background info and submitted it.  There's going to come a time real soon where I'll be paying for everything with cash and screw. them.
