One can only shake ones head and
when it comes to Shatner.
I am a HUGE Trekkie. All the spinoffs were a bit ridiculous.... I liked TNG and DS9. Otherwise, meh.
But in my eyes, Shatner is a thing to behold. He could hardly be more bizarre. His career path outside of Star Trek could hardly be more unconventional. His decision making about how to portray himself to the public could hardly be more... questionable.
And yet, here he is, an old man, up to his old tricks, surrounding himself with uber-talent, acting as if we should all take him seriously.
That's the thing you never know with Shatner.
Is he serious?His body of work, the frequency and consistency of his work, and the public reaction to his work, would all suggest, "yes, of course you should take him seriously."
But then...
