Emergency 2-way radio
« on: October 16, 2013, 12:57:21 PM »
I just ordered one of these because it seems to have a lot of features, and several reviewers said the 2-way capability was surprisingly good:

I've seen lots of emergency radios that have the usual capabilities -- hand cranked dynamo, USB charging port for phones and other devices, AM/FM/Weather, flash light -- but this was the first one I've seen that adds a 2-way radio to the list.

Might be a good option if you're looking for something along these lines.  I will post a further review once it arrives.

Don't expect the range enuff to communicate with other tribes.

I don't expect great range, it's a limited power device for the unrestricted spectrum. If it can communicate with handhelds within a 100-200 yard radius it will serve most of my expectations.
