Hollywood’s Buzzing Over ‘Bridegroom’

Quote
From an American love story that ended in tragedy and prejudice, comes a film with a message of hope and tolerance. “Bridegroom” tells the heartbreaking story of Shane Bitney Crone, who lost the love of his life, Tom Bridegroom after an accidental fall from his roof only to then be threatened with violence by his late boyfriend’s family and cut out of any decision making regarding Tom’s affairs. The documentary has Hollywood buzzing and launched one of the most successful crowd funding campaigns ever with support from names like Neil Patrick Harris, Lance Bass, Ricki Lake, and George Takei.

"If they were straight there would be no movie..."

"is gay considered a race or nationality now or what?"

"with the name "Bridegroom", I guess we know who played the pitcher and who played the catcher."

"What the heck was a homosexual doing up on a roof anyway?"  ::hysterical::

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

--from the video: "A really powerful Romeo & Juliet story..." (Dan Bucatinsky) - Uhm...that'd be "Romeo & Romeo" - or more precisely "Homeo & Homeo".

The surviving lover tells the heartfelt [sob] story of cruel treatment by his, uhm...lover's extended family (they stiffed him, emotionally) - something, apparently, is still up his as$. Maybe a fund could be taken up in his name, send teddy bears, stuffed animals & trinkets that could serve as aids ... oops (bad word choice) - uhm...instruments of calm to assuage his grief.

In any case, Hollywood is certainly grooming this film for public acceptance. Me? I still want a divorce & hope it doesn't even make it past the proverbial entertainment threshold.

(better title for the flick: 'Honey[Dew]Moon')
