Got the message from oldcoastie about this domain so thought I'd give it a try, also know Eupher from some other sites - Knowing those two please don't hold that against me though.  Coast Guard veteran 61-65.

Welcome to the forum Rusty.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Welcome aboard Rusty.

Rusty, did you spend any time 61-65 at the NC outer banks? I have fond memories of Caffeys Inlet Lifeboat Station, 5 mi south of Corolla.

Welcome.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living
are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Welcome.

Hardly anytime there.  After boot camp at Cape May, I was a founding member of the first USCG Presidantial Honor Guard in Washington (Kennedy), then back to Cape May pushing boots, after short tour at Toledo Moorings.  From Cape May was sent to Alameda, again pushing boots.  In my  4 years 'I had a bad travel agent' !!!!!
