A War That Might Happen
Hostility between the GOP and the Tea Party could cause a real rift.
By Jonah Goldberg

As political scientist Larry Bartels recently observed, the public is “more conservative than at any time since 1952.” That new progressive era liberals promised in 2008? It never happened. The public has grown more conservative during the Obama presidency. The catch: It’s grown less Republican, too.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

- Thomas Jefferson

Gee, that Jonah Goldberg; he's a real pulse-on-the-finger kinda guy, ain't he?!  I mean, it's not like Conservatives haven't been hollering this from the rooftops or anything.

Because Brawndo's got electrolytes.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
