For those who want to go Really old School

Horse Drawn Farming Equipment made by the Amish,  or at least people who live near them..

We are currently considering buying their roller crimper for No Till farming, since the alternative seems to be learning to weld and fabricating our own or trying to find someone local to do it.  The roller crimper will let us kill cover crops without having to use Roundup or similar. Thia also allows you to seed and plant in the same pass - as the cover crop is killed and the seeded comes along behind to plant the new crop. May be important if you have a hard time getting enough diesel ...

Of course that is what one of these is for - at $3K I might have to get one..

Whoa!  40g in 30m?  Would want to invest in extra tanks, filters and hoses and such...which would increase the $3k tab a bit, but even if you sink $4k total not a bad investment, if you have diesel motors to run.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

That's 40 gallons with 30 minutes of hands on time.  The actual process takes much longer than that.
