I listen to the stream from WABC in New York.  His show is on from 6:00-9:00 pm Eastern time.
We are so far past and beyond the “long train of abuses and usurpations” that the Colonists and Founders experienced and which necessitated the Revolutionary War that they aren’t even visible in the rear-view mirror.

Once again, Carl and those like Carl, how did this become a Repub win?!

Budget tricks helped Obama save programs from cuts

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20110412/D9MI4KNG1.html

Once again Bachmann and the Tea Party are on the right side of history and Boehner and the candyasses are left with Proglodyte smegma all over their victorious faces!

Thanks a-holes!

 ::gaah::

ETA - Any takers on a bet the Repub's willingly grab their ankles and give Obama & Reid a massive extention on their credit card?!

Guys I understand and you all know how I feel about it but in thinking it over the only question I have for all of us is,How much would the dems have spent if the passed the budget when the could and knowing that they had just gotten their shorts kicked in Nov?

Think about that for a minute before you all kill me.

The question should be, with majorities everywhere, why didn't they pass a budget? I'll tell you.... they were SCARED CHITLESS to pass a budget.....look at all the polls in what they were attempting to do.

We had them by the short hairs. Libs counted on the conservatives folding..and we did.

I'm not always engulfed in scandals, but when I am, I make sure I blame others.

I don't disagree with the premise but if we held out over planned parenthood I honestly believe that we would lose the middle(bastards are always in the way)But even at that we get an up or down vote in the Senate to get that too.

I just don't see this as the battle to end all battles when we have the debt limit and the  next budget coming up. I want those fought.I want 2012 and will do anything to get that win. Anything passed now can be fixed.

Don is right though, JF.  Your answer provides part of the clue.  If our leaders were competent and determined, they would have shoved the left's narrative of lies back down their throats, but wanting to avoid a shutdown at all costs they were correctly judged as being vulnerable.  The Dem's wailed over horrific cuts that were nothing of the sort, and in the process established the precedent of knowing they can play Boehner & Co for fools whenever they desire.  To wit- that jackass Van Hollen-DemonRat from Maryland is moving onto the debt ceiling meme now warning the Repub's to not play chicken with our full faith & credit!  Full faith & credit!  Another one every Repub should be shoving down these SOB's lying damn faces 24/7/365!

Be prepared to witness another GOP retreat!

Yep, past is prelude.

[blockquote]The meat of the spending deal struck between the two parties late Friday night was revealed in a legislative omnibus released early Tuesday morning. The specifics show that finding nearly $40 billion in cuts during the 2011 fiscal year required clever accounting and, for the White House, a willingness to concede on rhetoric to find gains on substance.

For example, the final cuts in the deal are advertised as $38.5 billion less than was appropriated in 2010, but after removing rescissions, cuts to reserve funds, and reductions in mandatory spending programs, discretionary spending will be reduced only by $14.7 billion.[/blockquote]

I believe our leaders are determined......to compromise. And seriously, it really wasn't even compromise. I'd love to hear the talks between Reid, obama and Boenher in doing this great deal. Don't tell me johnboy didn't know these cuts were merely smoke and mirrors. They dictated the narrative.....Told johnboy they know how he can "save face".....and they gave us nothing.
I hold no grand illusion johnboy is up to the fight. He is the wrong man for the job. We might as well relegate ourselves to fixing things after 2012.

Now, can somebody ask Crazy Carl (Whom I really like otherwise) "Where's the win in this?"  ::gaah:: ::facepalm::

I guess the win is all in the pretending.

He may have been contaminated by the hopey/changey virus.

He should submit to immediate quarantine and decontamination procedures.
