Looks familiar, I'll ask my guru if we've used before.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

These topics are hell on a dieter.

Your wheat talk recalls times buying sacks of oats for feed, 80 or 100lb.
One would always taste them for for freshness and quality, processed oatmeal is about 1/2 as tasty.

I'm so far past diets. I don't care any more i' more concerned with good food and as unmolested as possible by food plants. I'm into fresh ans nobody can tell me fresh unprocessed food is bad for me. Asa for wheat I got my hands on a 5 pound bag years ago and my wife used to boil it and add it to soups and stews as an added filler. Ans we ate it cause we liked it and it was whole wheat. In winter it was great in soups.

But I haven't seen it in years in small bags.

This looks like a good way to go.  Our food guru so far is favoring milled flour over grain storage at this time, although I do know there are plans to store some of the corn we raise, so we'll still have to look at processing/storing that.  Thanks JF!
