One point raised at Western Rifle Shooters is that you might want to buy any cheap Russian ammo while it's still available. If you have a 5.45 or 7.62x39 to feed, most of that ammo comes from either Russia or Ukraine. The Obama Regime might cynically use this situation as an opportunity to ban imports of Russian ammo, sort of like Clinton did with Chinese imports in the 90s.

Looks like they are certainly moving in that direction.

http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2014/03/obama-announces-new-sanctions.html

Quote
Remember this? "Why even the most isolationist and unconcerned Fudd should care about the Ukraine -- Poof! There goes the Russian ammo supply." Several readers sent the following link:

Monday’s order authorizes Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to work with Secretary of State John Kerry to impose asset freezes and travel restrictions on “any individual or entity that operates in the Russian arms industry, and any designated individual or entity that acts on behalf of, or that provides material or other support to, any senior Russian government official,” the White House said in a statement.

One asks: "But will Obama's Russia sanctions executive order mean no more imports of Russian made ammo? It certainly seems within the scope if the order is described accurately. If that's what is does, Mike warned early on it might be coming."

So far, no. But the game is young.

This is getting bad.

First fatality, more incursions into eastern Ukraine, rewritting history, Cossacks running wild, Ukraine readying for war.

And all we do is piss in the wind and try to reassure of nations in the region we won't hump them like we are humping Ukraine.

Pathetic.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/ukraine/10704798/Ukraine-crisis-live.html

Speaking of pathetic, here is St. Ron carrying Russian water...

http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2014/03/17/crimea-ukraine-russia-ron-paul-editorials-debates/6544163/

Interesting debate point, condemn Ukraine to servitude and murder and sleep well at night knowing the UN grants self determination and agreements between nation are fungible contracts just like a progressives interpretation of what is legal and is not when imposing a mandate to purchase a thing or eliminating a bondholders claim.  You are just like Obama and Putin, St. Ron.  You all can burn in Hell!

And St. Ron like Emperor Vlad thinks it is OK to act the thug and accuse others of thuggery.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/03/18/us-ukraine-crisis-putin-usa-idUSBREA2H0TE20140318

Russian exceptionalism = might makes right, and St. Ron approves.

Yes, we have entered the end of the rule of law and are full into the law of despots.

The whole world is about to burn.

Since Putin has officially annexed Crimea, Ukraine should nationalize anything owned by any Russian entity or individual.

And if America had a leader who wasn't a Muzzie ass-kissing pansie they would be annexing Cuba right now and flashing the green "Go" sign for Israel to slap Iran around.

Might makes right, bitches!

PS-This pathetic performance of the gigolo in Poland yesterday was beyond pathetic and sophomoric...these stupid progressives keep getting their reset button shoved up their butts and still they line up for more...what a bunch of useless fools....

Palin and Romney sure were right about Russia, and now the beta's are totally clueless what to do...freeze a few assets, shut down Putin's Netflix account, cry like a pussy.

Yeah, that'll work...

We should move military assets...specifically missiles...into all the NATO states in the region to stop the Russian aggression.

That is so JFK-like.

Then again, all that resulted in last time was a trade off of missiles in Cuba for missiles Turkey we hailed as a mighty win!

 ::)

And it won't happen under the Dear Leader...he is clueless how to deal with a thug...which yeah, is kinda ironic and funny.

Meanwhile...while Obama plays pitch and (mostly) catch with Reggie...Vladi is confiscating military hardware!

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/03/russia-confiscates-half-of-ukrainian-naval-fleet-in-crimea/

WTF?!

Should be some mysterious explosions going on!  At least Ukrainians need to scuttle rather than give up without a fight!

Oh, another WTF...where is Germany, those clowns get more Gasprom product than any other EU nation...and Merkel that little Gretel munchkin isn't doing squat...

World done gone insane!

No more G8 meetings and more bank account freezing...ooohhh, can you feel the tickle, Vladi?

Two cruisers seized by masked Rooskie jackasses...

Troops on the eastern border wtach and wait...

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-20/postcards-russia-ukraine-border

Puddin' signs of on annexation...and Obama yaps to no avail...and the status quo takes hold and secures the land grab of Crimea.

Now all that is left for Obama to secure his place in history as biggest effing loser of all time is to trade one useless deal on Ukraine with another equally useless agreement on Iran whereby Russina and Iran get all they want and Obama takes it where he always takes it and declares victory and peace in our time...

Pretty much what I have been fearing, more infiltration and seizure.

http://hotair.com/archives/2014/03/21/us-intel-russian-spies-saboteurs-infiltrating-ukraine/

And it is all being done unchallenged.

Think Ukrainians will forget who screwed them over?

I feel sorry for those people in the Ukraine. Many of them are really suffering.

I feel sorry for those people in the Ukraine. Many of them are really suffering.

Indeed, and they are by no means out of danger yet.

Putin has eyes on more than just Crimea!  He would like to secure all Gazprom oil/gas lines to the west, and link up with Transnistria.

Disclaimer - I didn't even know something called Transnistria existed before now!)

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/nato-general-warns-of-further-russian-aggression/2014/03/23/2ff63bb6-b269-11e3-8020-b2d790b3c9e1_story.html

Ukraine vows they will respond.  And i would not be opposed to air-dropping in arms, ammo, Cammo gear, food and medicine.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-23/ukraine-official-warns-chance-war-russia-growing-mike-rogers-calls-sending-weapons-u

The willing ignorance of O'Bambi and the rest of his progressive band of fools allowed this to get to this point, and now they have their meat in the grinder and think saying please will make any difference.

And I hope the jubilant Russian on the street that is glorying in the brilliance of Prince Vladi soon experience heartache, more than can be caused by this minor inconvenience!

ETA - Crap, if this data is right, it is definitely going to get ugly -

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/03/leaked-memo-reveals-russias-war-ukrainian-war-plan-includes-kiev/

Ukraine should be expelling all ethnic Russians now, the ones that choose to stay behind are likely to be active agents of Russia, it might not save them from invasion, but it might reduce the chances of this spinning off into Kosovo-style fugly.  And the Batic States cannot feel very safe, they all better be arming themselves to the teeth and expelling all Russians.

This could really prove to be a World War starter.

Speaking of war starters...

The extortion is ramping up...

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-24/russia-slowly-turning-natgas-tap-europe

And nations better start calling up more than a few thousand here and there...if they want to be their own nation anymore that is...

Ivan is sporting American/Western weapons in his Crimean adventures.  I guess they figure this, combined with the lack of any insignia, gives them a fig leaf of deniability that they are actually Russian military.

Oh, and yes...nothing says "I'm not a Spetsnaz commando" like a AR-10 with a fricken suppresor on it!   :o

Next up...the freeze, starve and die ultimatum to Kiev...

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-25/ukraine-only-has-enough-gasoline-month

At this point the Ukrainians might as well begin a sabotage campaign to make the inevitable more painful for these pricks.
