Where would be the comedic interlude value in that?

Vlad the Nation-Inhaler threatens the West and the Baltic states with "nuclear force" to retain Crimea and keep NATO from deploying assets in the Baltics.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/russia-threatens-to-use-nuclear-force-over-crimea-and-the-baltic-states-10150565.html#

Heh, remember that Obama/CodePink-like "stay out of others peoples business...we have no right to interfere in the internal affairs of other nations" retarded mantra so popular at ZeroHedge when America looks to be interefering?  Yeah, well...they've not made one posting about this beligierent statement coming out of Moscow...no doubt they were caught by surprise and are frantically calling RT.com for talking points (who are in turn awaiting instructions from the Kremlin).

Usually, you only get this kind of nuclear threatening from totalitarian regimes and crazy-assed Muzzie outfits...

Hilarious.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-04-05/leader-ukraines-ultranationalist-right-sector-appointed-army-advisor

Nationalist-expansionist Russians - good.

Nationalist-freedom fighters combating invaders, like Ukraine's "Right Sector" - nationalist, ultranationalist, neofascist, right-wing, or far right.

Hey, if it leads to killing more invaders...that's Ukraine's right.  Suck it up Russophiles!

Ukraine just made one heck of a blunder!

http://iotwreport.com/?p=285883

And since when are sitting US Senators allowed to be anything to any foreign leader?

The US senator said he would be honored to take up the post, adding however that he first had to be cleared by the Senate.

Maybe we should let the Ruling Class jackass go?  Cruel to Ukraine...but nice to get his Manchurian ass outta here!   :D

More armor moving...removing identification of armor and personnel is a troubling sign.

This is pretty good stuff here.

http://www.weaselzippers.us/227994-drone-captures-video-of-russian-base-inside-ukraine/

This drone footage shows how the Russians (the Russians, not some peasant rebels!) built up a FOB in a couple weeks that poses a direct threat to Ukraine by probing deeper into her sovereign territory.  No doubt they will have reserves coming up at the last minute before any offensive kicks off, and will likely get air support (helo and fixed-wing) from Russian units closer to the border.

Yeah, this is no indigenous uprising, this is clear naked Russian aggression.

Ukraine on Monday reported repelling a rare tank assault by pro-Russian rebels that threatened to usher in a dangerous escalation to the 16-month war.

President Petro Poroshenko said about "200 insurgents used tanks to storm" Novolaspa -- a village half-way between the separatists' de facto capital Donetsk and the Kiev-held port of Mariupol -- in a pre-dawn raid that caught government soldiers off guard.

Chief of Staff General Viktor Muzhenko "informed the president that the Ukrainian forces gave a fitting rebuff and repelled all the attacks", the presidency said.

I wonder where mere "rebels" got their hands on tanks?  I know, I know...don't ask questions you don't want answers to...

MH17: 'Russian missile parts' at Ukraine crash site

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-33865420

Fits the early eyewitness reports as well as the rumor that these systems were rolling into this area before that plane went down.  Pretty obvious it was a Russian attempt at a false flag event to pin on Ukraine in an attempt to weaken Western support.  What further proof do people need?  I mean all of the evidence points to Russia and the thugs they are arming...and they still blame Ukraine.  Morons always have a hard time going off script even when the script has been made laughable by events...like progs and their "It's Bush's fault!" mantra, these morons have no choice but to sputter "It's Ukraine!".

With things in Ukraine at a virtual stalemate and Russian forces now engaged in Syria...the Russian battle with the West is taking on a more urgent economic front -

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/11937348/Russia-retreats-to-autarky-as-poverty-looms.html

"Autarky" is national economic self-sufficiency...and with $30 oil being too much to hope for...it means more military adventurism to acquire what you cannot import.  The blowback domestically is broke hungry desperate folks going on a rampage...and the government response could trigger any and all manner of bad things.

Strap in...I think this ride is about to get a bit more interesting...

Hey, remember this little conflict in Ukraine?  Yeah, the one where Vlad rolled in tanks and stole Crimea and seized Eastern provinces of Ukraine?

Yeah, with Syria on hold and an American election coming up it's time to get the war machine rolling in Ukraine again...it was always going to gear up again, it was just a matter of when...

15 people try to break into Crimea...and it's being characterized as an "attack"...and Russophiles are po'd it didn't get all the play it deserved for the Russian point of view...well, anyway...Russia picked up it's marbles and left the peace talks, so it's on to killing again, but not before ginning up some angst against those troublemaking Ukrainians who for some inexplicable reason want to remain independent and retain their territorial integrity and live a life free of Russian interference in their affairs.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-08-11/ukraine-puts-troops-near-russia-border-combat-alert-tension-moscow-spikes

Jeesh.  Crap like that happened all the time back in the early days of the cease fire with North Korea...Russian's are such pussies!

You well, they are spoiling for a fight, still pissed at Europe, angry they cannot always get away with energy extortion, pissed that their athletes are caught being a bunch of dopers...and want to cause some mischief and dick with American elections while they can.

Swell.

This is no big deal...

http://thehill.com/policy/international/365906-trump-administration-approves-lethal-arms-sales-to-ukraine?__twitter_impression=true

...large offensive weapons is what the Ukrainians need...if pushing the Russians out is the goal...which it appears it is not...so the new status quo is just solidifying if anything...

Long ago I discovered this site mishtalk. The guy is a financial guy but has contacts in Ukraine. Maybe he is from there originally. He provided news from Ukraine that countered official US propaganda.

I recall the US pumped $5 billion into Ukraine to destabilize the country.  I don't really care if the Eastern part of Ukraine breaks away and joins Russia.  Not our problem.

I didn't find much recently.

Probably a tool of Gazprom.

But the whole scene is full of bad actors.

I was opposed to the Russian annexation of Crimea and their incursion into Eastern Ukraine...I never bought into the Paulbot BS that Russia has a natural divine right to areas on its periphery (which by that logic we should annex Canada, Northern Mexico, Cuba and any Caribbean island wrongfully possessed by foreign devils!) or because there are people of your nationality living there (which in the case of Russia who in any of those former satellite states doesn't have Russian blood intermingled in their populace?  Seize them all!)...and we as Americans being largely mutts...sh*t, we can annex the world!

But Paulbots always come up short on logic and long on anarchy and love kissing the Russian arse!

The Russian seizures resemble their Soviet days...and for that I condemn them.  And at that time I would have armed them to the teeth.  But Ukraine is fodder for Russian Imperial designs to control energy flow into Europe, they want to be the monopoly and as is their practice wield their control of this life-blood of modern society to impose political terms.  I have no love of the EU, they are ass-clowns of the highest order, both should be kept out of Ukraine, but energy supplies and politics and old hatreds rule the day...so it is the Ukrainian people who suffer.  The largest portion due to typical Russian bullying, next the meddling of Euro-statists and crony-capitalist...and to a lesser but significant extent poor internal leadership that plays off one or the other as a willing proxy to enjoy their position.  It is a pity we could not arm the Ukrainians early on and have them attack both West and East!

Even the Clinton Money Laundering scam and the Uranium One scandal got caught up in this conflict!

It's a mess now, the best that could happen now is everybody settle the hell down, stop the BS and quit looking to get the upper hand...that just keeps the Ukrainian people in the meat-grinder paying the higher price!

The situation stinks to high heaven!   ::outrage::
