The no-fly zone is being pushed by the WWIII craving asshats I mentioned earlier...they have no idea.  There is things nations could have done to shore up Ukrainian defenses...going back to last April (just a couple months after JoeFraud was installed and Putin did his exercises/buildup!)...that could have protected their independence (and just think what that could have achieved, they're doing a lot with a hell of a lot less!)...so either Ukranians are bad-ass soldiers, Russians not as great as made out...or a mix of both!...but nobody did nothing, now, a mad dash and batshyt-crazy desires to vaporize the planet...WHY?  They hate people, serfs actually...they want them subjugated...and Vlad wants the same for his reasons of lost grandeur, prestige...breathing space...yadda yadda yadda...mostly to suck Ukraine dry...

And he does want Kiev, he cannot seal his annexation and fulfill his promises to the rebels of the East without another Lukashenko installed as a loyal vassal.

They are saying that Ukraine is winning the PR propaganda war and that Russia is not even trying and is not even releasing propaganda inside Russia. However they are said to be focusing on the military angle and are winning. So Ukraine is said to be bravely holding back the Russians while the Russians are winning. Once they encircle the Ukrainian troops and big cities they can wait it out.  The Russians entered some Chechen city too soon years ago and got surrounded and clobbered and they remember that so not this time.

Yeah, this thing is still fluid...they have the major cities surrounded so it is a matter of do they want to try to starve them out then roll in or roll in when they feel like it...either way people in those cities will perish by the score...and Vlad will own it.  Regardless , if he and his pals think post-apocalyptic Ukraine is going to be a happy place for Russians and Russian-allies they're nuts...it could be a hotbed of partisan patriot insurgency for years if not decades and they'll lose the propaganda war no matter what and it's going to make EU/NATO move in harder to the other nations and ensure a permanent Cold War II (at best)...so, Putin gave our asshats back here everything they could have hoped for...
