Macron gave a speech today Said he would not rule out putting troops in Ukr but not needed today.
Putin said they would be viewed as combatants even if along distant borders in Ukr to free up Ukr troops.

PARIS (AP) — French President Emmanuel Macron reiterated Thursday his position that sending Western troops into Ukraine should not be ruled out, but said that today’s situation doesn’t require that.

In an interview on French national television Thursday, Macron was asked about the prospect of sending Western troops to Ukraine, which he publicly raised last month in comments that prompted pushback from other European leaders.

“We’re not in that situation today,” he said, but added that “all these options are possible.”

Macron said that responsibility for prompting such a move would lie with Moscow — “It wouldn’t be us” — and said France would not lead an offensive into Ukraine. But he also said “Today, to have peace in Ukraine, we must not be weak.”

Those 3 leaked French documents said the French army would be like an army of cheerleaders against the Russians.

🤔 "There will be French troops in Ukraine. There will be no red lines. I am the president of France and I decide," — Macron

"We negotiated as best we could, but there is nothing to talk about with them. Ukraine must win," the French president added.

? At the same time, Macron also said the following in his interview (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gdb9L3BBnq0) for France 2:

- France's defence industry is not ready for a high-intensity conflict.

- France is not at war with Russia, but the West must not let it win;

- Paris has no intention of taking the lead in escalating the conflict in Ukraine;

- The current conflict is existential for Europe and France;

- The Ukrainian counter-offensive did not go as planned;

- Peace is not Ukraine's capitulation;

- the use of loans to finance support for Kiev cannot be ruled out.

I recall voting in the Russian controlled areas is a crime under Kiev law. Some guy got prison time for carrying a ballot box. He remained behind after Kiev retook some area.

She explained to the police that she received the task to commit arson from a certain “Ukrainian telegram channel”; they promised to pay her.

Russian language is weird and even harder than I imagined. I recall maybe 14 different forms for "you", now this cursive.

Ukr makes a fake video of them invading Kursk it says. Other sources gave other examples shot in Ukraine not across the RU border.

RU POV: Yesterday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces published a video in which Ukrainian armored personnel carriers drive through Kursk, but forgot to remove the signs with Ukrainian inscriptions.

I heard that some film about Mariupol won some award recently.
These clips are all new to me but consistent with what I saw over a year ago.
For the most part the city was not defended by residents against the DPR/Russians.
It was invaded by AZOV who hated the locals, dug in, and killed them on occasion.
I listened to what people like AZOV said on video. They really hate the locals.
In a group of 10 POWs 1-2 had NAZI tattoos.

Here is a link. 5 min long.

This is why western MSM is not allowed behind Russian controlled lines. Can you imagine MSNBC talking to these people?

Patriot missile systems too complex and expensive to be sent to Ukraine without US chaperones - ex-DoD analyst

The US government may be lying, “by omission and also directly,” while claiming that no US personnel were sent to Ukraine to maintain and operate Patriot complex weapon systems provided to Kiev by Washington, says retired US Air Force Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, a former analyst for the US Department of Defense.

“Given the vulnerability and the expense and the limited number of these systems, I find it difficult to believe that the US contractors and US operators are not involved and monitoring day-to-day activities in each of these areas of operation,” she notes. “Maintenance of these systems requires over a year of training, and I expect major maintenance is being monitored and done by US contractors and servicemen.”

Noting that the Patriot missile systems that were supplied to Kiev were provided by Germany and the US, along with “some missiles and parts from the Netherlands,” Kwiatkowsky argues that “contracted US support connected directly to those countries may also be in the country,” thus “providing deniability for the Pentagon.”

She also suggests that, given the cost of the Patriot systems and missiles, and “the extensive training required for all aspects of this expensive system, the predictions last year of these systems being largely a political statement of support rather than a significant system of air defense for Ukrainian cities, seems to be valid.”

Early on they say that some world leaders are having second thoughts about backing Ukraine but the public sees this in absolute moral terms. Good vs evil and we are good. The Norwegian guy said even Norway sees this as good vs evil.

I linked 1 hr 34 min.Good summary. All the people back when who were against NATO expansion were hawks. Now saying that makes you a Putin puppet. Also, some like Clinton, Matlock, James Baker said that bringing all these countries, especially Ukr,  into NATO would start a new cold war. Merkle said it would viewed as a declaration of war. .See 1 hr 38 min.

One PR stunt was to seize nuclear weapons from a depot that is used to store them. The weapons may or may not have been relocated. That operation failed.

Ukr recently has been launching failed invasions of Russia, Wasting many lives and equipment. Even rare helicopters. All for PR stunts.

There is PMI index where above 50 is good and below is bad? Russia is 54?

Some of the failed operations were actually filmed inside Ukraine and even Ukr sources blow the whistle on this.
There are also a few fake videos of Russian soldiers enforcing votes for Putin or beating up voters in the polling place..

As the West is caught in its own delusional moral hubris, chances to make peace between Russia and Ukraine are being missed again and again. The biggest obstacle at this point are the pervasive myths that the West is telling itself to justify pushing for war instead of contemplating real negotiations.

Nicolai Petro is a Professor of Political science at the University of Rhode Island and has published the wonderful work “The Tragedy of Ukraine: What Classical Greek Tragedy Can Teach Us About Conflict”.

He recently published a short essay entitled “Four Myths That are Preventing Peace in Ukraine”. We want to discuss that one and later also the changes in the military situation, which apparently is leading to a change in the western narrative about Russian capabilities.
