Title: LAPD in 'joint military training'
Post by: John Florida on January 25, 2012, 11:56:49 AM
LAPD in 'joint military training' exercises in downtown L.A.

Joint military training exercises will be held evenings in downtown Los Angeles through Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The LAPD will be providing support for the exercises, which will also be held in other portions of the greater Los Angeles area, police said.

Training sites "have been carefully selected to ensure the event does not negatively impact the citizens of Los Angeles and their daily routine," a department official said.

The training, which a department official said would involve helicopters, has been coordinated with local authorities and owners of the training sites, police said.

That site must be on the "Righthaven" list of blocked and redacted URLs. I was waiting to delete the list until it was a sure thing that Righthaven is actually dead and buried. But I think that given their recent high profile setbacks, it would be safe to get rid of them now. I'll get to it soon.

Uhh huh, what are the military & locals up too?  What are they thinking of that they have to "train" in large urban centers?

Wheels about to fly off the cart?

They've been doing this since Clinton.

They should train together, a little, so they will be able to co-ordinate if the SHTF.
It just gets touchy when the prez favorite book is Mein Kampf.

Co-ordinate?  If the SHTF?  If the SHTF or NOT, the military is prohibited from operating on American soil.  Period.

Hey if lil Kim ilDuck drops an EMP over the middle of the USA
or some other nitwit thing we'll need every able body helping out.
And if they are going to be there they needn't be stepping on each
others toes.

No.  We've got the National Guards and the civilian militia.  Posse Comitatus.
