As y'all know I live near Seattle. The nimrods in charge there have instituted policies similar to LA and San Fran. As a consequence they have attracted bums and derelicts and petty criminals (but I repeat myself) from all across the nation to our streets. City officials have painted themselves (and us as unwilling co-inhabitants) into ideological corners and now haven't a clue (or the nads) how to approach dealing with the emergency. They are too politically correct to even admit that there IS an emergency.
Nothing new here except that the refuse is spreading out to the burbs - like where I live.
We had a new report the other day of a homeowner who was attacked by a "homeless person" who had broken into his home looking to loot it, er, seeking nourishment. The homeowner shot him in self-defense but now is in deep trouble.
It's no longer safe to leave the shed unlocked or the car windows rolled down. We're waaay beyond routine lockdowns. It's suddenly reaching epidemic levels of property crime. Oh, did I mention that our county prosecutor has issued directives to ignore property crime cases? Which is no biggie since "law enforcement" has abandoned all pretense of investigating any activities that might result in arrests and detainment. Jail bed shortages doncha know.
We live in interesting times...
