Finland doesn't meet the definition of socialism.  It is a parliamentary republic and the state does not control the means of production.  Sadly it's medical care is paid/controlled by the government as in Canada and the UK, thus their income tax rates were 60ish percent already 50 years ago. 

Also the roads are plagued with curves because they received so many miles of roads in post WW2 reconstruction that was the only way to fit them all in.

The road bit was courtesy of a local wag when I was in Finland in 1970.  I was translating jokes as best jokes can be translated that evening.

The following suggests that the healthcare system was overloaded by open boarder immigration (Cloward & Piven), and the costs were never assessed beforehand.   Sounds like an example which our government should take seriously.  Any bets?

Yeah, Multi-culti BS exacerbates the situation, but the core problem is the core problem - socialism itself is suicidal - the imports merely advanced the time-table.

And if I had to bet I would bet on our proglodytes repeating the mantra "that wasn't real socialism".
