Cruz had it wrong anyway. it was never about round vs flat, it was about center of the solar system, Earth vs Sun. The Roman church said the sun and all the heavens revolved around the Earth and Copernicus said it was Earth that revolved around the sun. Galileo confirmed this through use of the telescope.

Everyone with a brain already knew the Earth wasn't flat. Just an old wives tale about ancestors of AGW
