Statement as of 2:29 PM CDT on September 13, 2011

... Freeze warning in effect from midnight Wednesday night to 8 am
CDT Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a freeze warning... which is in effect from midnight Wednesday
night to 8 am CDT Thursday.

* Low temperatures... upper 20s to lower 30s by Thursday morning.

What was Thursday again?

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2011/09/12/24-hours-of-gorepocrisy/

I believe that would be the second earliest freeze in history, for the Twin Cities.

look at my linky.  It's Goreapalooza.  24 hours of Gore trying to convert (actual word used in Reuters article) people to his religion.

In fact, Joe Bastardi commented at WUWT about it being the earliest wide spread freeze ever, north of I-80.  In the Twin Cities, we had a freak day of Sept 3, a long time ago, where it got down to 32.  The next earliest freeze is something like the 18th.

Some urban heat isl, er, global warming kept my thermometer at 35 this morning, but a low, wetland, park type area I drive by has some serious frosting.  September 15.  Earliest in my lifetime.

19 at International Falls.  With one week left in Summer.  I wonder if even that is cold enough to cool down a crazed sex poodle.  ::doublebird::

I think that crazed part settles that mystery.

Yeah, nippy this morning...invigorating some call it.

Did AlGore and his curse move west?  I hear snow in the Rockies...pretty early for that too, that bloated pile of chakra sure gets around...

After a little more investigating, I found out just how cold 19 degrees, in International Falls, MN, on September 15, really is.

Before this morning it had never been below 20 in International Falls, EVER, in the entire month of September.

If you look on a weather map of North America, you never see teens outside of the Arctic, this early.

In fact, for turds and giggles...

I mean FAR north arctic.

Noticing some other towns, Rochester - 31, Mason City, 27, all the way down to Cedar Rapids and Sioux City at 32.  Just as Bastardi said, north of I-80, historic freeze.

Let's just immortalize these low temps right here, shall we?

This shows IF at 20 (would tie Sept low) but Weather Underground has them at 19 still...as well as Embarrass I read somewhere else.

I can't remember, isn't Embarass or Tower or something low elevation & thus more prone to sinking cold air?

Regardless...20, 19...damn cold for mid-September!

Warming done gone away!  Lets ask Mr. Warming about that!

Yes, Embarrass and Tower are classic low spots, which is why they have been colder than International Falls, most notibly in Feb 1996 when Tower got down to -60.

By the way, the state low for September is 10, in Big Falls and Thorhult.

The bloated Prophet's still got game! Turns 17,000 into 8.6 Million!

HT: Gatewaypundit...

Goracle: 8.6 Million Fellow Warmists Followed My ManBearPig Marathon …Actual Number More Like 17,000

[blockquote]No respect.
Al Gore announced that 8.6 million fellow global warmists tuned into his ManBearPig marathon last week. Unfortunately, once again, the the real number is closer to 17,000. It’s a consensus.
The Telegraph reported:

Not content with having invented the internet, the great Climate Science communicator Al Gore appears to have developed still more miraculous skills of late: the ability to turn 17,000 into 8.6 million – just like that.

The figures refer to the number of “views” for Gore’s special “24 Hours Of ManBearPig” which this column helped celebrate the other day. Gore claims that as many as 8.6 million flocked to his thrilling festival of climate fear; but a nasty cruel man called Charles the Moderator at Watts Up With That? has “done the math” and reckons the figure is probably more like 17,000. And that, he believes, is a generous estimate. (H/T John from CA)...[/blockquote]
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
