Title: New Zealand Earthquake

I find this event interesting on many levels.

First, why isn't such an event cause tsunamis?  I would think something of this magnitude would cause them, why hasn't it?

Second, this is the Ring of Fire, stuff happens all the time, yet it catches everyone off guard...almost always.

Third, how long do we have to wait for this to be blamed on mankind aka the Cult of Man-Made Global Climate Change and the flat-earther's who deny the sun's role in anything?

Fourth, why does nobody ever see the massive disconnect between knowledge and understanding with these events...and yet think climate BS isn't BS?

For God's sake...modern science cannot even explain why lightning is seen during earthquakes, even though they've been documented for as long as man has lived?! (http://metro.co.uk/2016/11/14/mysterious-green-and-blue-flashes-appeared-as-new-zealand-earthquake-struck-6256459/)

Anyway...just another heat-flash for mommy nature, move along...

Had a 5.0 quake strike about 50 miles east of me, last week.  As I had a loud movie on headphones, I didn't even notice it.  The wife spoke up and only then I noticed the water sloshing around in my glass.

My first earthquake and I was paying too much attention to Warcraft to notice.   ::doh::

Welcome to the Ring of Fire...though after seeing a series last night on the Giant Asian Wasp I think I'd handle a little shaking of the ground better!

They gotta kill every last one of those things, seriously!!!   ::speechless::
