Two more pieces of my childhood gone, in a single day.

Add the kid from Purdue to make the trifecta. :'( If you've seen a Big 10 football game featuring Purdue, you've probably seen him, a Purdue superfan who was made honorary captain, fighting cancer.

Renal failure, cancer...ugh. R.I.P. boys.
The WWE page has some good stuff...Andre showing how big his hands are compared to Gene's face still makes me giggle.

How he could keep it together surrounded by these clowns is a skill in itself...I would be laughing so hard I'd pee my pants.
ETA - Forgot to add, Gene's son Todd played hockey for the Gophers in the early-mid80's, good forward, had some knee issues...played some on the 88 Olympic team but pro career was very brief, still works in town here doing something...forget what, insurance or something. Gopher years overlapped with a relative of mine, good kid, good family.
