My latest acquisition, a nice used SIG P229. It's chambered in .40 S&W and I bought a second barrel for it in 357 SIG. It shoots both calibers very nicely. I'm quite pleased with how it's a compact pistol but still has some heft to it.
Nice trigger, accuracy is good, particularly in 357 -- it's like a laser beam in 357 SIG.

My fairly new toy - about 2 months ago - S&W SD40 VE -- double stack, 14 in mag. 1 in the pipe / have two mag. - shooting "Sig Sauer 165gr semi jacketed hollow points / 1090 fps - all though as you'll see in these tests / I think it's marginal - so I'm having a friend who is a gunsmith do some custom reloads for me.

You can never have too many toys. Despite what my wife thinks.

That's very true. I just can't pass up deals on lightly used pistols, and I guess I did actually need one since everything else was lost in that boating accident. It's weird that so many of us have lost them on fishing trips.

I don't even go near a boat any more.

Tractors, yes; boats, no. ;D

Whats wrong with a little boat ride Pandora ? USCG boat training for search and rescue boat handling training at Cape Disappointment.

Nothing's wrong with boat-rides. John wrote he avoids boats now, I wrote he's not avoiding tractors though. He took a little ride on ours while he was here in NC. Tractor, not boat.

Jeesh...what limp-wristed faery turned that fine specimen in? Oh well, your gain! ::thumbsup::
No matter a composite or solid slab...I like the feel of something substantial, most SIGs I think have that...
On the "too many" count...even though the swag at the bottom of the lake is substantial...I think my wish list is still longer...
I figure by the time I retire that scale will shift...
